Reviews of Negro Southern League Museum
"If a baseball fan, highly recommend. Smallish museum, but still spend an hour there easily. Very interesting history that I knew little about. The place is free and has some parking next door. Great place to visit in Birmingham"
"This is a very important part of history and baseball. It's a very nice, respectable, informative museum. It's small. It won't take long to see everything. I wish they would sell baseball cards from this league. I'm pretty sure that could help raise funds to preserve this place. I had fun there."
"Beautiful! It’s so important to keep history alive! It’s also important to know that what we have today came at a price and to be grateful to those who came before us!"
"Awesome museum which, obviously, highlights negros' accomplishments throughout the history of baseball. Lots of neat bats, gloves/mitts, uniforms, and stories. I'd say a 1-hour stay would suffice. The staff is helpful & friendly if you decide to ask for assistance. Admission is free, but they do gladly accept donations. Also, there's a little stand where you purchase a few souvenirs, if you'd like. If you're into baseball - I'd honestly say this is a "must.""
"A must visit for baseball fans. Great exhibits. Free museum. The gift shop was a disappointing. My husband was looking to purchase an old school Baron's hat or shirt."
