Reviews of Flying High Tea
"Quick Review: Great place, neat vibe in a cool location with a huge variety of tea - we are talking anything from standard to exotic, savory to fruity, etc. We did the High Tea, the finger sandwiches and treats were all very good, the tea was spot on and overall we had a great time, highly recommend for a neat experience. Long Review: My daughter is currently 3 and at prime tea party age so I booked a High Tea and left a note on the reservation I was bringing a toddler just as a heads up. They did a wonderful job setting up a tea she would enjoy. She had her own 3 tier tower with kid friendly foods (turkey & cheese, ham & cheese, pbj) while the adult tray had more adventurous flavors (egg salad, cucumber and dill, turkey with pesto etc). The treats were all adorable, she loved the glittery chocolate covered strawberry and she ate hers and everyone else’s cupcakes. The tea varieties are crazy and fun. You can certainly get your normal Earl Grey or English Breakfast type but you can also get unique flavors like Tahitian Vanilla Rose, Blueberry Muffin etc. Their lists were extensive. They have a really cool selection. And they iced hers for me since she really isn’t into anything “hot” yet and it worked out great. They also had some coloring pages and crayons for her and overall it was a great experience. The staff were all very nice and they quickly accommodated an add on (my husband wanted to come last minute). Highly recommend."
"Without doubt, one of the best meals I've had in a long time! Today was my first, but definitely won't be my last, time dining at Flying High Tea. My Son and I enjoyed their Prix Fixe meal, which is a four-course meal, set at a very leisurely pace. It includes "endless" ice tea, and a cup of hot tea for dessert. We started with an apple ginger waffle as appetizer. I, then, had mushroom French onion soup. Amazing! The mushroom was quite light, and not overpowering. For my main course, curry lentils with butternut squash. It's a sweet, not spicy curry. So good! For dessert, creme brulee with assorted berries on top. We, also, tried quite a few teas: caramel apple chai, lavender Earl grey, chocolate covered strawberry, s'mores, root beer tea, and my new personal favorite... Lapsang Souchong. This is a tea with VERY woody overtones. I bought 3 bags! Which is another very exciting thing they have; an entire wall of different teas! All of the teas are available to have with your meal. Our server, Trent, was wonderful. Woody, the owner, and I had a nice chat about our Air Force time. Thank you, Jordan, for introducing me to Lapsang Souchong! If you want something different, and a meal to enjoy at a leisurely pace, go to Flying High Tea!"
"We enjoyed Afternoon Tea at Flying High Tea. The butternut squash crostini was the favorite bite followed by the tahini cookie. Large tea selection available. A comfortable contemporary location to have Afternoon Tea!"
"It is a restaurant that we all felt probably wanted to give the customer decent service, a little bit of a high-end vibe but affordable. You could definitely tell from their garnish and their interior design. It was sort of like achieving everything, but nothing satisfying. Let me explain. The food was okay overall but nothing stand out to me. The dessert were tasty but a bit pricey. The appetizer was okay but again a bit pricy. There are a lot of tea options but I was also surprised the hot tea was not served while it was still "hot". One more thing is, the table was covered with one sheet of cloth and one sheet of white paper on top of the cloth. I saw tea stain on the cloth. So i could see their intention of being a bit high-end but affordable place, but not there yet. I would say it is a tea place that you could possibly enjoy a delightful morning with friends."
