"Read a review online that Rusted Silo Southern BBQ was voted Best in Indiana and Best BBQ within an hour of Indianapolis so I had to take a drive out to try and cast my own vote! All I can say is WOW!! I TOTALLY agree! This small little shack on the side of the road with a tiny BBQ sign is absolutely FANTASTIC!!! One of the best BBQ places I’ve been. I have the pulled pork and brisket with Mac n cheese and honey slaw. The pork and brisket melts in your mouth, Tender and delicious! The crew could not have been more friendly. It’s west of Indianapolis but totally worth the drive. You should come early because the place is so good they sell out quickly! Enjoy!!"
"First impression....this is exactly what a BBQ shack should look like. The dining room is small and you can see the pit when you order your food. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. The spare ribs were amazing, just smokey enough not over rubbed so you got the full flavor of the pork. I used a little of their bourbon mango habanero sauce, oh man delicious sweet heat. Their pulled pork was juicy and delicious. The cheese grits and Brunswick stew sides were fantastic. They had a specialty cola there, so good. The only bump in the road was the potato salad could have used a touch of seasoning, but that is being nit picky. The smoke wings (full wings) were also juicy and delicious (they paired nicely with their white BBQ sauce. Also, the homemade ranch was outstanding as well. The last thing we tried was their nanner puddin. Banana pudding on a cinnamon role base, mind blown. You have to make a trip to this spot, it doesn't disappoint."
"Absolutely amazing BBQ! Ordered takeout today, and the Brisket sandwich was delicious. The Carolina white and Bourbon BBQ sauces were both amazing. The Ranch Beans are definitely the best beans I’ve ever had. Pecan Pie is an absolute must try, as well. I’ll be back!"
"Absolutely delicious! Best mac n cheese side we've had in a long time, plus the sauses and meats were incredible! Brisket was our favorite, ended up getting some ribs to go for dinner. Glad we stopped :)"
"Fantastic food in the middle of Indiana, about 30 minutes west of Indianapolis on I-74. It's a small place with somewhat limited seating. There are picnic tables outside too. This is a rustic experience. You order at the counter and pick up your food when they call your number. Don't let that sway you from stopping by for a meal. I had the pulled pork plate with ranch beans and Mac and cheese as my sides. The pulled pork had a nice smoke ring and very tender. The ranch beans were incredible. I hope to hack the recipe. They have a nice selection of beers to choose from too. No bar currently. I heard that the long range plan is a brewery and larger restaurant. I'll do my part to help them fulfill their goal by coming back regularly."
