"The owner, Kyler Etter, treated me very poorly after his employee damaged my two bicycles, my bicycle rack and bicycle cover. I had contacted the Etter Service Department, they found a record of the last time they serviced my RV a few months ago and scheduled an appointment for me to bring in my Ford E-350 Thor motorhome to have a Ford headlamp bulb replaced. I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment, the service department confirmed my appointment and had a young man go to my RV to move it from the parking lot to their service department. Unfortunately, the young man swung the rear of the RV so that the bicycles on the rear rack slammed into the light pole next to the RV, damaging the bikes, etc., as described above. The employee immediately left to return with Mr. Etter who identified himself as the owner of the dealership. Mr. Etter immediately tried to distance himself from responsibility even though the young man's response when I showed the damage to the two men was that he would pay for any damage. Mr. Etter, on the other hand, said his dealership didn't service RVs, provided no support to his employee and he treated me as if it was my fault that any damage occurred. He showed no compassion, no interest in maintaining a positive relationship, no interest in doing the right thing, no interest in being willing to find a reasonable resolution. He claimed it was an insurance problem so I needed to provide him with an invoice for the damages which he would submit to his insurance carrier. Mr. Etter took photos of the damaged bikes, rack and cover. I provided a hand-written invoice for the damages. As Mr. Etter refused to provide a receipt for the invoice, I took photos of him with my invoice in his hand as he read it. I was disappointed in his treatment of me and his employee. I was frustrated that while his dealership did, in fact, service my RV several months ago, Mr. Etter insisted that his dealership refused to service RVs even when the service only required a Ford headlamp bulb replacement. Mr. Etter's refusal to acknowledge any concern or sympathy for the damages his firm was responsible for, lead me to conclude that the leadership and ownership of this dealer is not worthy to do business with anyone, let alone the fine people of Crawfordsville, whom I've found are overwhelmingly good folks."
