"Ordered the deep dish Sicilian and it was very very good. Wish it came in a smaller size. Took us 3 days to eat it all. LOL But it's my fav. Will definitely go back!"
"Small, quaint, delicious. Everything you could hope for in an intimate dining experience. This place is clearly privately owned and the owners take great care in both the building, as well as their food. The establishment is clean and bright....very spacious feel for as small as it is. There are only 10 tables at best so be prepared to wait if you plan on dining in on the weekend. The food is as close as you can get to authentic without being outside of America. I highly recommend the garlic knots! They are so delicious! You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. My ONLY word of caution is that they DO NOT accept plastic....so come prepared to pay with cash in hand!"
"Let me start by saying this little nugget of charm is a cash or check only establishment so prepare for that then go. Good was pretty good once warmed up but with travel time it was cold. They do however have the best Stromboli Calzone I've ever had the pleasure to try.......if nothing else go get that."
"The food is truly outstanding. Pizza, pasta, calzones and the hot sub sandwiches are extremely dicious. The only knocks I have are the indoor layout of the tables where it feels like each table is competing for space, and our meals came out at three separate times with the Pepperoni Pizza coming first, then afew minutes later the Panzerotti was brought to our table, and finally a few minutes after that the Meatball Sub appeared. Not sure why the timing was off, but hopefully it can be corrected to have all three brought to our table at the same time. If you are in the mood for delicious NY style pizza then look no further than Perillo's. A small quaint pizzeria about 45 minute drive on I-74 West from the southwest side of Indianapolis. Make sure to bring cash or check because they do not accept credit cards. We started our meal with Garlic Rolls. These warm soft rolls had the right amount of garlic, and tasted delicious on their own as well as dipped in the flavorful tomato sauce or dusted with parmigiana cheese. We ordered the Margherita and Pepperoni pizzas for dinner. And in true NY style pizza it was a crispy thin crust that held up very well to the toppings. The Pepperoni pizza came out looking delicious. The pepperonis were cooked perfectly, and tasted delicious with the cheese. Next is the Margherita pizza which had a perfect balance of chopped fresh tomatoes and garlic with a good dousing of fresh basil. These fresh flavors on a slice of pizza was truly a slice of heaven. For dessert we enjoyed Cannoli. These were made the right and only way with sweetened ricotta cheese and chocolate chips encased in a crispy shell. Light and flavorful, and the perfect way to end this amazing meal. Today my family and I stopped in again, and once again the food was outstanding. We started our meal with side salads that were chock full of fresh vegetables, chopped red onion, feta cheese and olives and a choice of dressing. I chose the House Italian, and made the salad taste even. We then ordered the Garlic Rolls with two sauces, Cheese and Red Sauce. The rolls tasted delicious on their own, but so much better in the dipping sauces. My wife ordered the Meat Ravioli which was covered in a delicious meat sauce. She could not stop raving as to how delicious it was. The Steamed Mussels Spaghetti dish in the red sauce was so good. It was chock full of mussels and bright and flavorful red sauce with perfectly cooked spaghetti. Our son ordered the Pepperoni Pizza. This NY Style Pizza had a crispy thin crust and held up well to the toppings. The crust had a crispy exterior, and soft pillowy interior. It was perfect for dipping."
"Our pizza journey continued to Perillo's that had been on our list for quite awhile. We ordered the NY style with black olives and fresh tomatoes. The Sicilian we had made with sausage, pepperoni, green peppers and black olives. We also had an order of their bread twists garlic. After picking up our order we just had to try a slice of the NY style right away. In the outdoor patio area, we each had a slice and it was one of the best first pizza bites ever. The flavor was slightly sweet, just the right amount of cheese and the fresh tomatoes were great. The crust as you can see was thin, perfectly cooked and a great chew. We also want had a garlic bread twist. They look like cinnamon rolls and were out of sight wonderful. Warm, soft , garlic brushed butter it seemed. Once home we tried the Sicilian. Great crust, cooked perfect with great mouthfeel. The ingredients melded well . The whole order was $52 and well worth it. There were only the two of us but what we ordered could easily serve like 6 or more. We're from Indy and it was a bit of a drive but one well worth it. Highly recommend!"
