"I always went to Bill Kay Honda for my car purchases and service. I have to say I was a bit disappointed with the last time. In June I had an alignment and now its Oct and they are telling me I need another alignment!! 3 1/2-4 months later I need an alignment!! I can see if I beat on my car and hit every pothole available, but that is not the case! MAYBE my alignment was not done properly, or they did a bad job? I reached out to 2 other service places, and they even said after 3-4 months I should not have to pay for another alignment! If I beat on my car yes, then I would probably need one. I do drive a lot but am very cautious as to not hit potholes. I was even thinking prior to this event about looking at a new car there, but not anymore! Very disappointed! Oh and June the alignment was 89.99 and now it's 99.00."
"Had a bad experience. My van was shifting funny and the service department told me I needed a new torque converter for my transmission issues. I told them I wanted to try a transmission flush to try and see if that would bandage the problem even just temporarily because I was closing on a house and cash was extremely tight at the moment. They told me that would not bandage the problem even temporarily and they guaranteed the torque converter would fix it. They called and said it was done so I went to bring the van home, and it had the EXACT same shifting problems. I took it back and they flushed the transmission (liked I originally asked them to do), and the weird shifting was gone. They charged me $3,778.93 and were not willing to do anything whatsoever on price even though I had asked them to try anything before putting in a new Torque Convertor. I called and talked to Terry the service manager who said they did nothing wrong and in court I would lose because the van was fixed and I had approved the job. He even went as far as to say the customer is not always right and it doesn't matter if I think a transmission flush would have fixed it. I had sent a text early on the morning before they started working on the van asking them to try the transmission flush anyways and not proceed with the torque convertor but they completely missed my text message asking them not to proceed with the repair. Terry even told me that’s my fault that I relied on a text (even though it is their texting system that said “you can text this number anytime during your service visit”) and told me I should have called every 5 minutes and drove in there to tell them to stop rather than just sending a text. Terry said they are not willing to help cover cost in anyway and that they did everything pretty well exactly like they should have. Pierre was the most helpful but still was adamant that its not their fault at all. To be fair to Bill Kay, the van is shifting now, however I just spent close to $4,000 and I think it could have at least been flushed and got a couple more weeks or months of use out of it. Unless you want Terry the Service Manager to tell you that in court they would win and that the customer is NOT always right, I would take your vehicle elsewhere. At least in my experience the customer is not always right and it seems like they will do only whatever they want and will tell you if you want something else done to take it somewhere else. Very very disappointed in the very unpleasant conversations with the service managers even more so that the problems we had. Good luck if you take your vehicles here."
