"My wife and I stopped for lunch at the Beef House restaurant. I had the roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans, and salad with blue cheese dressing. My wife had swiss steak with mashed potatoes and corn. We had an appetizer of fried zucchini. The food was all excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed and excellent. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this place to anyone passing through Covington, Indiana, just east of Danville, Illinois."
"Our service was excellent. She was Very social, friendly and quick to serve you. The atmosphere is comfortable and much interesting decor. Food was good. Especially the rolls and jams that come with your meal."
"Unfortunately arrived too late for the 5 oz ribeye, but not too late to beat the dinner crowd. We got the 10 oz & split it. The clam chowder was too salty so the waitress replaced it with broccoli & cheese that was VERY good. I overheard 2 others say it was way salty too. Sierra is an A+ server & very attentive. Overall a good experience."
"Really cool setting, lots of space, big windows to show the full fall colors and trees changing. Service is great. Rolls are the best and so is the jam. Steak was perfect and sides were delicious. Desert pie is great. Will be back!"
"The beef house is an exceptionnel place. The food is better than you had in a long time. The beef house is wheel chair accesable, not to far off the exit and pleasent to visit. The staff is great and vary helpful and frienly.the building is old but vary confortable, à nice atmosphère to be in. This is a must visit if you like steak and everything else they have is great. They have odd foods like frog legs liver and prions à lot of others on the menue I posted here. Awesome!! Place!!"
