"The bartender here was so friendly AND knowledgeable on drinks and made sure my food was right! Ask for Stephanie"
"Bottoms Up Bar & Grill - located at 1969 Thornton-Lansing Rd. right at the corner of Stoney Island Ave., in Lansing, Illinois, 60438 is the place to hit up every Wednesday night at 7pm for their Open Mic Nights - run by Kerri Mott and his crew - drinks served by friendly staff, and to pick up some tasty food. There's plenty of parking, friendly faces, chances to play music, dance and enjoy music, as well. Come check the place out for yourself. You will not be disappointed - nor do you have to only choose from beer or wine on a Wednesday!"
"We met some friends there to see a band. I did not eat, but everyone else was very happy with the flavor and portion size of their food. Servers were friendly and helpful, and the environment was great - lots of us danced to the band so lots of fun!"
"Haven’t passed judgment yet, but not a good start. New to the area and asked where to get good bar food & play pool and some suggested this place. Looked up location online & saw a table so I went, but no table? Sat down for about 5 minutes & even though 2 people are behind bar, not even eye contact. I did notice that a POC stated that there may be racial bias here, so I just got up & left. To be clear I don’t know if that was it but didn’t help. I’ll reserve judgement but 1st time impression wasn’t good."
"I was at Bottoms Up last night. The bartender (Rachelle?) was clearly overwhelmed. Because she had to not only bartend, but cook the food as well. The crowd in the establishment was extremely rude and impatient. One man was calling the bartender racial slurs and recording her as she was ready for a mental breakdown. For a while, we just watched. After some time, the man approached us and recorded us as well. It was very uncomfortable. We exchanged a few words, and I told him what everyone was doing was not right and shortly after it seemed like everyone left. Once it was quiet, we really got to know the bartender, and she was actually really fun! Some positive feedback: the bartender was very kind to us, despite all of the negative surroundings. Our food was delicious and quick. I would come back."
