Harold's Chicken of Dyer #19

"I'm from the city so I'm pretty particular about my Harold's. This was great without the headache of traveling to the city. I did call the restaurant a few times though and nobody answered. You can place an order online though."

"Convenient and easily accessible. However, it is a busy little restaurant . You must check your order before leaving because the staff often mix up customer orders. I ordered 6 wings and got home and opened the container to chicken organs in the form of gizzards"

"We ordered over $100 thru Door Dash and only received 1/2 of the order. Called the store and was informed that the person forgot to give the driver the other bag. It included the sauce that was on the side of the orders. No Cole slaw, napkins or utensils . We drove 20-25 minutes to pick up our order which they did remake, but was told they gave extra sauce and cole slaw. Well at this point we didn't need extra be the food that had been delivered was eaten without the sauce. We even asked about giving us the original food for our trouble but was told they threw it out. Which we don't believe. This was a HORRIBLE experience as we had out of town guest and we were hungry."

"First and foremost, let's get this straight for those that do not know: Unless you pay in ADVANCE for your online (or call-in order), they WILL NOT prepare the food until you pay for it. I have been eating at various Harold's Chicken shacks since the early 1980's and that is how it is. In the past, too many folks call and never show for the food (???). So, having said that, there may be a time that you pay and you might have a short wait. However, 99% of the times that I have prepaid, my food is waiting when I show up. Now, the chicken is simply divine. What more can I say The staff? Depends on who is working. One younger lady did not seem to embrace the concept of quality customer service; to be blunt, she appeared to be not very happy that day and it reflected on her interaction with those of us ordering. Other times, it was nice and friendly. Atmosphere? GTFOH, it's a Harold's, not a five star dining establishment. Thankfully, they don't need to have bullet-proof glass at this location. It's clean, and that's all that matters."
