"Afc across the street was a 2.5 hour wait with 3 people in the lobby. These ladies had me signed in, registered, and brought back in 30 minutes or less. Staff are respectful and kind, NP listens to your concerns without interrupting, everyone during my visit was nice and chill. I see the negative reviews from during the active dates of the COVID-19 PHE, and I'm just saying I see none of that here. I received quick and attentive care, and my cost OOP was plainly spelled out on signage, paperwork, and my awareness of my insurance coverage."
"Charged my son $50 for next-day Covid test as compared to $zero at other urgent cares with 30min test results. Did not notify of charges until after nose swabs were performed."
"recommended me to take their "swab n' go" testing, which voided me from paying by insurance. Not a good experience in which waiting room staff would not let me know until after I was done with the swabbing."
"Took 84 year old mother there on a Friday with a horrible sore throat. Overnight she started feeling a rattle in her chest and coughing hurt horribly. She went back the next day (Saturday) and told them what was going on. They wouldn't even see her or listen to her lungs, and refused treatment. Took her to another urgent care place who listened to her lungs and immediately said she had bronchitis, and provided appropriate treatment. If it was left up to QC, she would be in the hospital right now with pneumonia."
"QC wellness staff is completely incompetent. Despite filling out their forms with our current address multiple times and noting it was a change of address, they never changed it in the system, and as a result we never got the bills from two lab companies. One we were able to take care of immediately when we figured it out 11 months later combing through downloaded insurance claims. The other had already been sent to collections 5 months earlier (not the labs fault). We have immaculate credit and we try to keep it that way. Thanks QC Wellness! Their own billing system didn’t bother sending us a bill till months later (which was actually what alerted us to this whole issue), luckily it was through email, so we paid it immediately on receipt. But it said 120 plus days overdue. Why they couldn’t send the email when it was due is beyond me, my wife saves all emails, we never got it and it wasn’t in spam. When my wife was last in the office we were told we actually had a credit, so we weren’t looking out for a bill. The bill was valid though, after comparing it to data from my insurance company. It’s just ridiculous how they operate. It looks like they even coded one of the visits wrong and because of that a decent sum was never applied to my deductible, which caused us to meet the deductible later than we should have, and cost us extra money. Speaking of ridiculous, during that same visit my wife was asked to fill out a medical questionnaire we never asked for, which was never addressed in her appointment, and the bill had a line item stating that questionnaire cost us $15! The facilities were also filthy, and while I understand in today’s healthcare landscape nurses and NPs are being run ragged, the NP (at the Madison office, not the Huntsville office) my wife saw looked completely unprofessional, to say it in the nicest way possible. If you can, stay away from this place, or at the very least keep up with any claims they file as soon as they are filed. Just don’t expect them to ever pick up the phone when you call or the voicemail to not be full."
