"I’m almost 42, and I came to Dr. Holmes at the referral of my orthodontist. I’ll be having double jaw surgery in March (I’ll update after that). But I had to all my wisdom teeth removed recently. Dr. Holmes and his team were AMAZING! I blinked and it was over. No pain. No nausea. No drunkenness (haha!) - just really sleepy. I never had to take the pain medication! I just took some Tylenol for a mild headache. I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. Holmes and his team!"

"Upper and lower jaw surgery was part of my treatment plan for braces as an adult to correct my overbite. The surgery was performed by Dr. Holmes and I am very pleased with the result. The first two weeks of recovery was inconvenient but I am now about a month out and regaining function of my mouth. Cheryl was very helpful with the pre and post op process and she checked in on me regularly after my procedure. The biggest benefit is the ability to breathe through my nose. "To keep it short and sweet: I got my four wisdom teeth out this past Wednesday with Dr. Clark. Dr. Clark was very quick and efficient and the assistants were welcoming and made me feel comfortable during the procedure. I’ve had no pain other than soreness and have felt great following the procedure. Thank you so much Clark Holmes Smith for the great care! But if you are here looking at reviews because you are worried about having teeth removed and just want a more detailed review, please read below. 11/03/2023 & 11/09/2023: Whoever I spoke with on the phone to set up my consultation appointment for my wisdom teeth removal, not super friendly. *Note: make sure you have both your dental and medical insurance information when you call.* 11/15/2023: My appointment was scheduled for 10:45 AM I arrived at 10:30 AM. I was taken back had X-rays done and was in a room by 10:46 AM however I waited in that room until 11:30 AM for I believe Dr. Clark to come in the room, pat me on the shoulder, confirmed I needed to have the teeth removed (which I already knew) and walked out… the ladies in the office were super nice and answered all my questions thankfully. *Note: I did opt to have two separate appointments since I do have anxiety, but to do it over again I would just make one appointment.* 01/10/2024: My appointment was at 8:00 AM, and I got there around 7:45 AM. Checked in and was back in the room by 8:00 AM. By 8:55 AM I was out in the car, on my way home. They do send you home wrapped up with an ice pack and with a bag that has gauze, a syringe, and aftercare instructions. It went a lot quicker than I expected, the lady actually told me it would only take about 5 minutes. They did call me later in the day to check in, but I was asleep and missed the call. As far as recovery I have had minimal pain, most of my pain has been soreness in my jaw. Almost no swelling. The worst part of it all is not being able to eat the food I want."

Dr. Holmes was highly recommended by her orthodontist and several other people I know. We drive over 30 minutes to get to him even though we passed so many others on our way.
