"This has been the absolute worse experience. The anesthesia nurse needs sensitivity training. When asking about my 3 years old sons medical history I informed her he was shot in may in his chest to which her reply was “well it was just superficial” (it was actually very traumatic as imagined) , no one will help, there’s no where to charge my babies phone for when he comes out of surgery. We were told to be here at 545 in the morning with him not being able to eat and he wasn’t even taken back til after 830. He’s 3 we have a 3 hour drive home. This hospital is so disappointing given what’s supposed to be associated with children’s."
"With RSV being at an all time high, I understand being super busy but that does not mean you should forget about your patients. My daughter was admitted for RSV, Bronchiolitis and Pneumonia and at first the care was great but after the 2nd night staying here I felt like we were put on the back burner and my concerns were put off with bad attitude. We were then told we were being moved to Dearth Tower and it took several hours for this to happen and the nurses were in too much of a rush to do their shift changes that I just felt my daughter was their last concern. Her IV machine was going off for over 15 minutes even after I tried to call a nurse in and in the meantime my daughter projectile vommited everywhere and I stood there alone with her a while longer while they did their shift change. We moved to Dearth Tower several hours later that night and the nurses were great there but the next morning ( day 3 )my daughter's doctor came in telling me how great she was recovering, she sounded good and we were going to plan to discharge.. well 5 o'clock rolled around and her doctor never showed back up. I asked our nurse at the time what the plan was and she had absolutely no idea that we were planning to discharge. A FEW hours go by and a nurse I had never met before walked in fired up telling me how they're super busy and the doctors leave at 5 and that they only have ONE DOCTOR for the whole entire hospital for emergencies only and that person couldn't discharge us because they didn't know anything about my daughters situation. She also told me I should make sure I tell the nurse what my doctor say so they know what is going on. My job is to worry about my daughter, not make sure the nurse and the doctor communicate..that night the nurses came in more than any night we stayed there even though "she was great and sounded great" we both did not sleep at all. If her IV machine wasnt going off they were in the room checking her vitals. Then this nurse proceeded to tell me we aren't being discharged. The next morning, (day 4) her 2nd doctor (that wasn't the one that talked to me about discharge) came in and basically told us we could get ready to be discharged. I fully believe they kept us there another night to milk our insurance. Not to mention I've requested her medical records from her visit about 2 weeks ago and still have not received them. I will never come back to this hospital ever again. I could say so much more but I feel I got my point across. Terrible experience. 0 stars."
"We came from 3 hours away to get my son checked out and had a very good experience. The staff and nurses were very helpful and patient. We saw Bailey Nix with the liver team and she was phenomenal and eased our minds with everything. Very pleased."
"My son had to get some teeth pulled along with other dental work and the staff were so kind and helpful! The hospital is clean and big, with alot of neat things for the kids to look at. All of the nurses were so sweet and made you feel so welcomed! They were so informative and you can tell they love what they do! I so recommend anyone bringing their child here."
