"A week ago I picked up a used Searey amphibian plane in Plant City, FL (not far from Tampa) and began my flight home with it to South Padre Island TX. I covered 1,300 miles and stopped at 8 airports along the way. The Bay Minette FBO facilities and staff was far and away the best of this trip. The gentleman on duty on Sunday when I arrived took care of fueling the plane, cooking me a burger and getting me settled in the flight plan room then got me hooked up with the courtesy car. He was extremely helpful, polite and quick. This is a very nice facility with great staff and the coke machine and snacks were very much appreciated. Well worth the stop if you're in this neck of the woods."
