Tropical Suds Car Wash

"I have used this wash for many years and have found it varies enormously. The DIY bays can be out of specific washes, such as tire spray or wax. As well, the coin boxes do not always count the coins correctly. Next, the auto wash is poorly maintained. The money/credit card box regularly malfunctions, forcing you to drive through and try the other side. A significant percentage of the time, the soap either does not spray out fully, or only partially, on one side. The other day, the movable spray machine got stuck and would not move past the middle of my car. I had to leave and go in the other bay. That one worked, but I am unable to get my money back for the first try, as the phone number for the wash as listed on the internet, has been disconnected. There is no posted contact number at the wash. You would think that with the number of poor reviews on the web, the owner would try to maintain the wash to a reasonable level. I believe I have reached my limit with this business and will just proceed a mile further up towards Foley to a different wash. If this owner cared about his business, I would expect he/she would at least post a contact number. I suppose they make enough off the tourists who will never be back."

"If this is the one near Public Storage in Gulf Shores, I would give it 0 stars. I needed 4 quarters to use the vacuum (no change machine), and I only had 3 quarters. I went to a store and made a purchase and came back with the 3rd quarter. I put them in. It registered $1.00, but I could not get the vacuum to work. It also had no way for me to get my money back. I drove away having wasted time and money."

"If you own this business give me my change for $20 and at $4.75 it should be $15.25 and I'll change my review. The only reason I used cash was because the CC machine wasn't working. I use the coin operated all the time and it works well but wanted to use the automatic this time and well it looks like I got ripped off. "I stopped here in the morning for a quick rinse off. It was rather an average pressure hose. The soap didn’t seem to work very well. That being said the car was definitely cleaned decently before leaving. I decided to try the vacuums. They were pretty much useless. I would have done better shaking off the mats. It was way too big and odd shaped to make it fit between any nooks in the car. I would not go back."
