"I was overdue for a cut and if time allowed highlights. I went to 3 places that were booked before going to the hair company and was told by the lady in the 3rd booth to the left yes she could cut my hair when she was finished in approximately 15 mins. When I came back there was a beautician next to her and they discussed her doing it. I explained I have a complex chronic illness/chronic pain and had been very sick so was overdue but only had 2 hrs 20 mins before my dr appointment and had to leave ASAP and a cut was the upmost importance but if time allowed would like highlights and my eyebrows done. She assured me she had time for both. An elderly lady came in that she took a lot of time talking with twice on advice which I thought was rude being the owner and other beautician could have talked to her. I’m a redhead and wanted lighter color highlights. I looked more like a blonde but it was still a good job which is why I’m leaving a 2 star rating. I showed her several pictures of my hair and said I know you can’t get it exact but please out of my eyes, taper around my face, shoulder length layered. Hardly any time was spent on the cut, I kept giving hints, bringing the pictures up. Time was up, I was upset plus my eyebrows weren’t done. At the counter she said $90, my receipt said my card was charged $95. I told her $90 turned into $95, she said nothing. I told her twice at the counter she did a good job with the color but I was very unhappy with the cut, I told her again before walking out. She said nothing. I honestly think she isn’t good at cuts or did she use the time I was paying for on her lengthy discussions with someone walking in wanting free advice. Plus before I got out of the chair I said I guess my eyebrows aren’t getting done. She shrugged. I’ve taken a long time in leaving this review because I don’t like leaving bad reviews. After talking with some friends in the area they all agreed she should have said come back for a proper cut, I’ll get another beautician to do the cut or taken the charge for the cut off. Let me add for $95 I didn’t even get my hair dried much less styled and knew I had to go to the dr across the street like that!!! so therefore I believe it deserves a 1 star review. My husband laughed when I walked in and said did they put a big bowl on your head? Yep, cut that bad. I’m a great tipper but I didn’t leave a tip. I will not be advising anyone to patronize this business. The beautician was the one the owner had go pick up dinners earlier in the day but wasn’t suppose to until a month later. When we visit a place to have anything personal done we are paying to be pampered. To leave feeling good about ourselves. This was not the case. Not to mention I felt so bad and sitting there 2 hrs took great effort. Hate this was handled improper at my expense and time."
