"Thank you so much Dr. Simpson! My (10 yo) son had a tooth extraction today. He reacted badly to the nitrous/laughing gas. Instead of letting him relax and be calm, the nitrous triggered a panic attack. Dr. Simpson tried to talk him through it, but turned off the nitrous when he realized the talking wasn’t working. He mentioned possibly having to proceed under sedation if G couldn’t tolerate it in office. But Dr Simpson watched my boy, and saw him visibly calm with the cessation of nitrous. At the end of the procedure, he made sure his assistant made a note in G’s chart stating that the nitrous was not a good idea for him. Dr. Simpson was able to proceed with the extraction without the nitrous and kept my son calm the whole time. He has the calmest and most reassuring demeanor with the kids, and I was so glad he was our dentist today. Thank you so much!"
