Reviews of Fat Boyz Deli
"Awesome little deli tucked away in this small shopping center. Staff is super friendly and food is delicious. Try the Gyro you won't be disappointed. Great service too. Definitely will be back"
"Gyro was great only had chicken at the time, 7.4/10 stars for it the fries reminded me of concession stand fries. Nothing special $15 for the gyro and fries not bad but only when craving it."
"I work close by there and asked them if they could make me a western omelette on. It’s not on their menu but the were nice enough to stir it up. It was so good to have a fresh omelette with real eggs. The loaded curds w/gravy and fried egg special is so fattening, but omg…. So good! The prices are not bad for good quality food. Definitely going back to support this local business."
"Ok, The Good: I love the experience from the staff (who I guess one was the owner) and the friendly service. Being a small business, they are really friendly. They had an amazing selection of sandwiches and sides. The bread was fresh, and their other ingredients were fresh and great. The potato salad was a different take as it was a chunky style, which I like, and the ingredients were mixed well and not with too much mayo and very good. They look like they have a great breakfast to try that they serve all day. I like to go to places and check them out to gauge the vibe before I bring dates or friends, and I like the place. They have a good art collection starting and a feel like it's a regular hangout place. The Bad: It was my first time, I obviously stuck out because the guy made me out and asked if it was my first time. I told him it was and thanked him, got my food, and left. As you can see, I didn't experience what others did in their photos that I looked at online before I went. I couldn't believe that there wasn't any meat to speak of on the one side. I had to end up redistributing some of the meat from the other side. And as you can see, there wasn't much to work with there. I am for creativity on sandwiches and I read that there was a coleslaw on the Reuben instead of the traditional sourkraut, but I thought it would've been a better coleslaw than just a regular coleslaw and it missed its mark. A Reuben isn't a Reuben without it, and it didn't have any thousand island sauce, so I'd think about renaming to a creative version of it or something, but I was expecting a Reuben. On the potato salad, the potatoes were just barely done for me and could've been cooked a little longer. It felt more raw potato than a traditional mushy style, but this is pure opinion. I feel you could offer larger drinks if you're only offering bottles and not fountain drinks. Very fresh though because it was being made right there but having said that, it looked like he was teaching a worker how to make it and I felt knowing it was my first time, teaching someone the proper way, this sandwich could have been made better at least. There is talk of price, but as I said, I support small businesses. This meal was $16, and I like to see them get theirs, but I'm hoping I can get my money's worth in the future. It's on me trying the recipe, but maybe the next one will be better. Everyone has a bad go, and I'll try again because I believe in supporting our community and small businesses. Thank you for being great people, and I'm glad to have another sandwich place to go to."
"If you’re used to a one dollar double cheeseburger or a can of SpaghettiOs for lunch this place is going to be way out of your league. If you understand how a small business works and don’t mind paying $8 to $10 for a good meal at lunch this place is great. I never knew this place existed until we drove by and my fiancé saw the sign for the gyro. I went in to check the menu out and there were a lot of tasty sounding options, but I opted for what originally caught my attention. It was delicious and I will be back to try other things soon. P.S. the tzatziki sauce was DELICIOUS!"
