"Love this place! I get most of my clothes here and I got these 2 for $6/each"

"Was introduced to Plato’s about two years ago by one of my friends. Initially was excited about the idea of potentially selling some clothes and getting a little money for it. I’ve gone about 2-3 times and have never received more than $10. Sometimes I would come in with a full basket and they would only take 1-3 items. Which is fine. But a couple months ago I was totally ripped off. I came in with some brand new cargo pants that I had gotten for $40 on Amazon ( they were too small) I went in with some other clothes expecting at least over $10. They took one other item and my cargos and gave me $5. today I went in with a basket full of clothes, waited an hour and a half just for them to take 1 shirt and give me $1. Idk if I’m just salty but judging by the other reviews I’m not the only one struggling with the store. You can give it a try but I suggest managing your expectations."

"My experience today was the final straw to trying to sell clothes at this establishment. If I could give this zero stars, I WOULD. Went in to sell some items including some shorts and a Coach Tabby Shoulder 26 bag that I had bought not even a year ago and has been worn maybe three times. I thought they might have needed shorts since it was springtime and I wear a larger size that they may not have. I did not get good vibes when I walked in and I was only in there for about 3 minutes before my clothes were done and I walk back up to the counter to discover that they only wanted $16 and some change for this purse (thats worth about $400) and one pair of athletic shorts that had never been worn and still had tags. I was floored when they told me that. The woman at the counter told me that everything was based off of her computer and suggested that I sell the purse online instead. I took in that advice and then I proceeded to ask about the shorts and she said "well if you would have looked in the back, you would have seen the boxes of shorts we have" I asked for my things back and I was getting ready to leave when she said under her breath "I was just trying to help you, you don't have to be so rude" I did not feel like I was rude, I was just trying to understand why you didn't take my clothes that look a lot better than what you already had in the store (Holiday items, Hot topic tees, clothes with armpit stains, etc) I did not want to continue on with this employee so I just left. I suggest anyone looking at these reviews before checking out this place to steer clear and not support this business that whats to give you $16 for a luxury purse and turn around and make a 600% profit. Attached below is the purse I was trying to sell and the exact purse (only a different color) on the coach website for nearly $400. FYI: I was not expecting to get my $400 back that I had initial bought it for when I walked in, but I was expecting something much more than $16."
