Reviews of Ding How II
"We’ve always loved Ding How! Their food is really good and very reasonable. The atmosphere is nice and quiet and the service and so also very good! We’ve been going here for many years!"
"The pot stickers were cold and the meat inside looked under cooked. We ordered the shrimp dumplings and never got them. The general tso chicken was cold. The only thing that was half decent was the hot and sour soup. I tried telling the waitress and she wouldn’t listen. She walked on by. Service was terrible. Read the other reviews and save yourself a trip and your hard earned money and go somewhere else. We won’t be back."
"Venturing into Ding How II on Christmas heightened our anticipation for a delightful dining experience. The interior cleanliness and service, was almost exceptional. However, the culinary journey that followed left much to be desired. The won ton soup managed to salvage some respect, offering a palate-pleasing taste that stood out amidst the disappointments. Unfortunately, the egg rolls, while aesthetically pleasing on the outside, revealed a rather unpleasant interior. The crab Rangoon, a classic favorite, failed to meet expectations, as it was devoid of crabmeat and filled with an unconventional mozzarella cheese substitute, leaving us questioning the ingredient choice. The special fried rice, arriving at our table in a lackluster state, exhibited both sogginess and a noticeable lack of flavor. The general tao chicken, anticipated as a staple delight, turned out to be excessively sour, rendering it unpalatable for the younger diners in our group. The chicken lomien showcased a disappointing medley of soggy noodles and an overwhelming amount of slime, deviating significantly from the expected standard for a noodle dish. Moving on to the sweet and sour chicken, the crispy exterior failed to compensate for the dish's imbalance caused by a bed of soggy lettuce. The flavor, unfortunately, bordered on bland. The orange chicken took an unexpected turn with thinly sliced chicken breast, battered and fried, served barely warm, and drenched in a basic orange sauce. This departure from the traditional chunky style left us questioning the chef's creative choices. Altogether, Ding How II delivered what could be described as the worst Chinese dining experience we've encountered in Huntsville. The prices, seemingly inflated for the portions provided, further exacerbated our disappointment. Despite the festive occasion, the culinary letdown overshadowed any potential holiday cheer, leaving us with a memorable yet regrettable experience at Ding How II."
"Decent Chinese style food. Reasonable prices for good food overall. The fried beef chohofun was excellent. Great flavor, and beef was very tender. The orange chicken is ok. Flavor was a bit off and the chicken was tough and chewy. Recommed the egg drop soup. On the down side, the salt shaker was disgustingly dirty and greasy."
"Overpriced and didn't even get what we asked for. Rude service. Ordered 2 sesame chicken and 1 general taos. The fried rice had been mixed with white rice to fill the container. Ordered this to go, so didn't find out about the order being wrong until home 30 mins away."
