"I usually don't buy gas here because my Exxon/Mobile app doesn't work here. There has to be something wrong with the system because it works just fine at other j&h stores."
"Your employe named Shane is rude and sarcastic. I asked about the high price of a 2lt coke and he got rude. $3.69 wow i will stay away from Your stores. Friends always tell me this place is bad. Now I believe them. yes I am local."
"If I could rate the service I received here 0 stars, I would in a heartbeat. There was an overweight woman with short mouse brown hair working at this location when we went on to buy snacks tonight, upon purchasing she gave the worst customer service I could possibly have ever received. She screamed, she yelled, she refused service to us to buy lighters even though we were well over the legal age to do so, because she did not "trust us with lighters" she then proceeded to scream at us and yell for us to leave before getting chance to pay. She proceeded to break my friend's debit card and continue screaming at us. As a trauma survivor, I would never expect to be yelled at with such ferocity for doing nothing wrong. I now sit in my car, panicked, and utterly shocked by one of the worst experiences of my life. I do not know who this woman is, but I hope she has a better day tomorrow, or God forbid this happens to someone else with trauma responses like me."
"This used to be the spot. I moved in the area around 2 years ago and up until a few months ago, it was actually one of my favorite places. I would stop and get a refreshing beverage and snack on a hot summer day. I would be greeted by the friendly staff who I knew by name and they made it feel like a welcoming place, even for a gas station. Nowadays, it's like a different place. This might be the worst gas station I've been to in Michigan. One time, I walked in and got a drink from the coolers and went to pay. One of the off duty employees was having a conversation with the employee behind the counter and when I went to put my drink on the counter, they both looked like I had just interrupted a board room meeting. I almost put the drink back and left because it was so uncomfortable paying. One employee in particular is VERY creepy. I was filling up a cup at the fountain and I looked and he was staring at me. I looked at him expecting him to see me looking and turn away, but he kept staring. I said something to break the tension and he responded and kept staring. Keep in mind I'm dressed nicely and don't look like a threat. I still don't know why he was staring. Looking back on the incident I should've probably reported it because it was one of the most bizzare interactions I've ever had. I have also heard they do not like to hire older people which probably explains why I haven't seen certain workers anymore. One more thing to ad, if you're parked for too long you will get asked to leave and always by the same creepy employee. All peace and love, but don't go to J&H. There's a citgo half a mile down the road with better prices and staff."
"On my way to work this morning the clerk and manager both refused to sell me tobacco products although I provided them with a valid Michigan driver's license (photo i.d.) verifying my age. I was told that they have to scan it through their computer or would not sell to me due to corporate policy. In my humble opinion, there is nothing on my drivers license that is any of their business other than my date of birth and that is plainly visible without scanning it through their system. Upon questioning the clerk I was told that one of the things that they are scanning for is to check if you have outstanding warrants.. so if you may have a warrant, dont ever let anyone scan your I.d. Or if you're like me and see this is a complete invasion of privacy and that gas stations should not be doing this.. Avoid J&H altogether as I have brought this to the attention of their district manager Amy Haywood and she confirmed that this is their policy and they stand firm on these procedures."
