"Hired this CPA to provide business accounting, file S-Corp, set up employee to file taxes and either pay on my behalf or tell me what to pay to cover taxes for employee and quarterlies. Originally asked for payroll too however after over three months of being told they weren't ready and I was not set up, I just ended up doing it myself. They did a few months of monthly book keeping and nothing else. Had to hire a separate accountant to fix this, do investigative work to find out what was done and not done. Discovered the s-corp was never filed, my employees taxes never paid, quarterlies were never submitted and I was never told what to pay for these based on my bookkeeping. Kept providing excuses when I asked questions and pushed me off for another date but when tax season rolled around I was still getting the brush off. I cancelled my tax appointment when I found out the S-Corp was never filed and requested my money back on the previous 2 months of book keeping that I never received.
