"Buyer beware. Does not stand by his sale. Bring a mechanic with you to check out the car before you buy. Power washered engine on a used car usually means hiding something..."
"If I could give zero stars, I definitely would. This is the absolute worst experience I've ever had with a used car dealership. Stay far away. This is my way of making sure that someone else doesn't have to fall victim to the same situation I am dealing with. I contacted the owner, Buster Shelton, about a 1999 Toyota 4Runner he was selling. I asked him if there were any issues I should be aware of, and he said "Nice, clean car". The description on the car said "Very well taken care of, inside and out." I drove two and a half hours to look at the car, while on the way, he told me they were putting a new battery in it because the cold weather killed the old one. When I test drove it, the car shook a bit and I asked them what was causing the shaking. I was told that the car just needed a tune up and alignment and would run great. I purchased the car and drove it home, they gave it to me with three bald tires that I ended up replacing and getting an alignment for a total of $350. I took it into my mechanic for the tune-up, in which my mechanic called me and asked me what trash dealership did I get this from because they had pressure washed the engine to make it look nicer, flooding the motor, damaging a significant amount of components under the hood, and clearly defined the car as a "lemon" and said it would take AT LEAST $2500-3000 to fix the current issues, that may lead to more in the future. When I went to pick up the car, it would not even crank, the car had already drained the brand new battery and would not shift gears and I requested my tow truck deliver the vehicle back to the dealership. I contacted Buster Shelton via Facebook and business number, requesting that he just give me my refund and cover the improvements I had made on the car of $350 and just make a clean break. After many messages, he finally replied and said "Wasted money, Sold As-Is, my paperwork will hold up any day in court. If you tow the car here, it will be in the abandoned vehicle portal tomorrow, and we can go that route. The Lemon Law only covers new cars. And if my paperwork isn't bulletproof, I need to know." So I will be dealing with Buster Shelton and thus situation directly, but in the mean time, avoid this place like the plague! They are low-down scum looking for a buck and I would hate to see someone who is in more dire of a situation than I am get screwed by these money hungry vultures. Save your money, I will be reporting this business to the BBB and Small Business Administration. If anyone needs proof, I have screenshots of all messages I would be happy to send you, and I will find a way to make them public as well to help you all in any way I can."
