The Purple Onion Moody

"Wonderful food. Generous portions. They have a great menu and a good selection of Mediterranean food. I highly recommend the Baba ghanoush and the tabouli. For a town that is surrounded by Mexican restaurants the Purple Onion is an oasis. I wish more people would come to this restaurant. Every time I have been there we were the only ones in the dining room. This does not reflect the quality of the food because it is delicious. The staff is awesome and honest!"

"We usually go in the evening. The lady working drive thru is always very kind. It does take a while to get your food but it’s because it’s made to order. So take that into consideration. My husband always gets the gyro plate, I get the sautéed mushrooms and ranch fries. Everything is always good and the mint tea is a must!"

"Gyro meat was cold and overcooked like beef jerky. Waitress apologized and had the cooks make another. If you're used to eating a real gyro this is not the place to find one. No tzatziki sauce, tomatoes or onions. Lettuce, meat and a little bit of orange sauce?? is what you get. 3 orders with fries and drink for $45"

"The Purple Onion in Moody, Alabama was beyond expectations. We have never eaten here and didn’t know what to expect. Cannot understand a review any lower than 5 stars. The only thing we could think of to change would be Earth friendly packaging, that’s it! Next, love the idea of a restaurant with a drive-through. No, this is not fast food this is restaurant quality meals! The menu was good with healthy options. We will definitely come by Moody to go to the Purple Onion again! The shrimp kabob was delicious and a heart healthy amt of veggies. Will be back! Thank you."
