"I love the purple onion. One of my favorite sandwiches is their garden burger and onion rings. I don’t know if maybe they were having a bad night but on a recent visit my garden burger patty was cold and the onion rings were fried perfectly but unseasoned."

"Arrived for lunch at 11am. Zero other customers. Was ignored at the counter for about 2 minutes and then placed order (grilled chicken sandwich, gyro, chick tenders and a plain hamburger - which was over $40 bucks). 30 minutes later we still did not have our food and I was basically told off about it when I asked - apparently they “had a really big order working”. Lady working the counter then proceeded to cuss out another drive up customer in earshot of our small kids. When we finally got our order, most of it was wrong, and all of it was terribly overcooked and under seasoned."

"To the very last bite, this was excellent. Their barbecue sauce is also intriguing. Tangy. It appeals to me. We are very grateful to the kind woman at the register who took the time to provide us with a list of recommendations while she was still teaching the new employee. We are quite happy that we visited."

"My boyfriend ordered chicken wings, the wings were literally raw inside & when I made the hostess and cooks aware, I got laughs and smiles from the cooks. I normally patronize the original location in homewood multiple times a week so I was very disappointed that purple onion has employees that don’t care about customers health."

"Passing through town and thought the name was cute so we stopped. I was wondering about a 3.8 star review average on Google, but I'm glad we came. The burger was juicy and delicious. The fries were seasoned wonderfully and didn't even need ketchup. The combination bbq potato was so good. It was well baked. Even bits with no topping (just potato, salt, and pepper) were great. Some places over cook their potatoes leaving a hard shell. This was delicious to the last bite. And their bbq sauce is interesting. Tangy. I like it. Big thank you to the wonderful lady at the register for taking time out of training the new hire to give us a list of recommendations. We are so glad we stopped in."
