"Was on a business trip, and a low tire warning came up. The attendant checked our tires and added a few pounds of air pressure. He did not charge me, agreeing it was most likely a faulty TPMS sensor. He was much appreciated!"

"How do we put into words the excellent customer service we received from Jay, Ray and Terry at the Malcolm Drive location in Montgomery, AL We had just headed home from a wonderful trip with family and drove about two hours when the truck started to have warning lights. We were in a very rural area so when we got a PepBoy location at the first large city we called. Jay answered and was BEYOND fabulous. He helped to get us a Tow Truck and we headed to the shop. Discussing things several times over the phone the thought was Cat Converter which Jay felt confident that could be fixed same day. Fast forward a couple of hours. Terry was not able to confirm that it was the Cat Converter but feared it was much more complicated. Jay again tried to pull out all the strings to get the lead mechanic in to access that afternoon. Unfortunately he could not until the next day around 10. But Jay continue yes to go above and beyond by suggesting a safe area to look for a hotel and off we went for the night via Uber. Next morning as promised Jay called with the final ruling. Sadly, it was determined that it was a full failure engine issue. They had even pulled a possible recall notice for the truck. Again so many extra miles. Needless to say we eventually had it towed back south were we had come from and received the same diagnosis which was a full engine replacement. We have made it back to NC and are currently working with the Alabama dealership to see if we qualify for a replacement. I’d like to again thank Jay for his compassion and empathy!!! To Ray and Terry for all the time spent trying to figure out what our next steps would need to be. You have a fabulous team in place. Brenda S North Carolina"

"I was passing by Montgomery, Alabama on my way to San Antonio, Texas. I got my tire blown up and then I requested a tow to take me to the closest Pep boys. Thank God for the guys who work here. Jay customer service was exceptional he was very kind, honest and professional. I thought I was going to leave with this hard situation unresolved since no one could exchange this tire due to having key locks on each of the tires (something the previous owner didn't warned us about, what a headache has been). So imagine my frustration when my tire couldn't be replaced with the spare. But Jay found a way which I'm really thankful for. I had to leave my truck there for several days and they take well care of it and fix in less than an hour. Thanks for Not giving up Jay! We need more trustworthy people like him. Please someone give him a raise!"
