"Great location to photograph the pier and lighthouse from. Usually a little less busy than the pier side, although parking can be limited. So many professional and skilled amateur photographers out here for sunsets. Look for a night with 40-70% cloud coverage, ideally at mid-to-upper levels. Even better after an evening storm. Most important, don't leave after the sun sets. Wait about 15 minutes for the sun to light up the undersides of the clouds from beneath the horizon to get an incredible light show. But even on a clear night you will get nice shots of the pier and sailboats during golden and blue hours. If your trying to get the sunset in your shot with the lighthouses, this location is better in the cold months, while other side is better in the summer due to where the sun actually sets. Also pay attention not to block somebody already set up. Cheers!"
