About Us

The Cadillac Sound Garden is a unique park and tourist attraction located at 398 Chestnut Street in Cadillac, Michigan, United States. The Sound Garden can be easily accessed by taking Mitchell Street (Business 131) North to Pine Street, turning left and traveling about half a mile. The institution is located just past Consumers Power and across the street from the bridge.
The history of the Cadillac Sound Garden dates back to its origins as a community art project funded through the Michigan Association of Community Arts Agencies Community Partners Artists in Residence Program. The City of Cadillac and the Cadillac Area Visitors Bureau partnered with Artist in Residence Frank Youngman to create the Sound Garden. Grant funding was also received from the Cadillac and Kellogg for Youth fund of the Cadillac Area Community Foundation and the Michigan Rural Arts and Culture program of the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.
