"Terrible shop, not professional in the least, told 4-5 weeks to rebuild trans (bench job/already removed from car) took MONTHS, installed it finally and was worse than before, took many more months to finally get fixed and then i ended up selling the car and the shifter linkage fell off on the guy an hour down the road. All in all, rebuild took about 11 months total, do not recommend"

"They said they could look at our car that day; we said it was possibly the fuel pump. So we had it towed there, for 2 weeks they gave us the run around. When I told them I wanted my keys and I'll have it towed to another place they refused to give me my car. Said I can get my keys but my car is in the shop I couldn't get it that they was closing early; that was on a friday before noon. Closed on Monday due to weather, short staffed Tuesday due to the weather. I want my car, still refusing to give me my car cuz its now being worked on; its Wednesday. Why is it broke down when you have no idea what it is.... smh. They didn't even test my fuel pump, It was a the main fuse. So instead of paying $70+ for a part, I had to pay $300+...."

"I own a 2002 Dodge Dakota in which the 5-speed manual transmission was rebuilt by another shop in 2013. I've had trouble with it since (difficulties shifting in/out of 1st and 2nd, and popping out of 5th gear). After the original shop was ineffective in resolving the problem, I decided to try to live with it; however the problems worsened this year and I began blowing clutch slave cylinders (3 in a period of 5k miles). After the 3rd slave cylinder failure, I pondered getting rid of the truck but was unable to find a suitable V8/manual transmission truck to replace it. Pro Tech came highly recommended, and after a very favorable first meeting, I decided to turn the repairs over to Pat. My experience with Pat and Pro Tech was outstanding. He wound up having to rebuild the transmission and replace the clutch, primarily due to the faulty workmanship of the previous shop. Once they began work, they finished within 4 days, which was impressive since they had to completely disassemble the unit and evaluate it prior to ordering parts. They notified me when the job was complete, and when I picked it up, they saved the old parts and went through a detailed, item-by-item explanation of why each part failed and had to be replaced. I was extremely impressed by their thoroughness, their communication, and the fact that they went into such detail (without my having to pull the information out of them) as to the failure. I was treated as a partner in the repair of my truck. It has been 9 days since the repairs were complete, and I have taken a long road trip and have put about 1700 miles since the rebuild. The truck shifts perfectly and is once again fun to drive. Thanks to Pat and Larry for the outstanding workmanship! Pro Tech has my thanks and my highest recommendation!"
