"I made an appointment with Aaliyah Myers @ Supreme Hair Mafia through her booking website on Tuesday 12/28/21 for 12/31/21 @ 5:30PM & paid my $20 deposit to have a traditional install done. Yes, I know the receptionist at the Irondale location. She referred me to them & recommended I buy the hair with them as well. I purchased (3) bundles. Mink Brazilian Bundles 14" Straight for $165. I asked the receptionist to color the hair Black only bc I forgot to add the service to my appointment. Which has nothing to do with the business or the owner & I took full responsibility if anything went wrong. Around 2PM on 12/31 the receptionist called me about my appointment saying that the stylist was leaving for the day. The receptionist had to flag her down & ask her about my appointment for later that day. The stylist then stated her books were suppose to be blocked off & she didn’t know she had anymore appointments for that day, & said I could come in the next morning on 1/1/2022 @ 8 AM. At first, I told her I couldn’t make the appointment bc I had a make up appointment @ 11AM that day. They stylist was okay with getting me out of there by 10:15AM. I had a wedding to attend the same day 1/1/22. I arrived at the shop at 8AM. Doors locked! I then called the receptionist to see if the stylist had another phone # bc the # provided on the website was going straight to voicemail & I texted the # no response. It’s now Monday 1/3/22 & I still haven’t heard anything from the stylist. I called the shop to speak with the manager. I received a call back from Pam she stated she was the owner’s sister. To sum up the conversation she stated that bc I had the receptionist color the hair it’s not on the shop & the stylist is independent & doesn’t represent them. She stated that the stylist said she overslept the next day & bc the receptionist didn’t give her the hair to remind her she had an appointment booked. All she can do is make the stylist give me my $20 back, which she did. The website never stated that I had to provide the stylist with the hair in advance for a traditional sew in with leave out. I guess me booking & paying my $20 deposit wasn’t a good enough reminder. Pam also stated that the receptionist is at fault bc she took the hair & colored it & never gave it to the stylist. Not evening realizing that this receptionist went above & beyond her job duties to sell this salon product and its services. I told Pam that this was not professional or good customer service the way they conduct business. She then stated taking my phone call was good enough customer service bc she didn’t have too. All I’m saying is I DO NOT recommend this stylist & if u choose to do business with them just be aware!! Yet, has the stylist apologized for the inconvenience she caused me & let’s not talk about how much more money I lost booking with another stylist & having them squeezed me in on a holiday. I’m ok with losing the $165 for hair that I only purchased with the intent to get the install done at this establishment. If this happened to me I’m sure it has or will happen to someone else. By the way Pam @supremehairmafia good customer service would have not only apologizing but booking me with another stylist & giving me a 10% discount in the future. You could’ve had a customer for life!"
"Pros: The wig was immediately available, great wig construction, true to length, great customer service and packaging, location was easy to find Cons: Over-priced. The unit was thin, maybe a bundle and a half was used to construct it. I purchased a 22", HD, 5x5 wig. I purchased this wig because the one I ordered had not arrived and I had an appointment the same day. I called the Ave I location and the person I spoke with was very helpful and professional. She listened to my request and provided me with great customer service. I was able to make my purchase over the phone and was immediately sent a receipt. I was able to pick up the unit later and it was already packaged beautifully and ready to go. I should have checked my order before leaving, but I was on my lunch and was rushing. The only issue I had with my experience is the unit was not as full as I would have expected for the price I paid. I have purchased less expensive wigs that were far fuller than what I received. I would recommend purchasing from this business, but I recommend doing so in person so you are able to be sure you it meets your expectations. For what I received, I think the wig should have been at least $100.00 cheaper."
