I call back numerous time and no one would pick up.When they did pick up, they hung the phone up.I decided to drive to Tuscaloosa and purchase the part that I needed.HWY 5 BRENT STORE. VERY POOR SERVICE!!"
"Like all auto parts stores, the majority of their underpaid / uneducated employees don’t know what they are doing. You would figure the employees would get basic automotive training, but they don’t! One of the times I was at the Brent AL O’Reilly auto parts store I was there to get rubber fuel lines for my fuel tank on my 1998 F150 XLT. I was replacing the factory fuel pump that finally died and while I was at it I wanted to replace the rubber fuel lines and rubber vent hoses. The guy behind the counter took the rubber hoses I brought in to the back to size them up and cut them to the lengths I needed. He brought them back and the sizes he matched up were so much smaller. He said it’s because the old hoses were old and stretched. I told him they won’t work and he wanted to argue. I took the hoses I brought in and left. Went to Napa and they knew what they were doing. I was at the Brent AL O’Reilly auto parts not long ago. I was waiting in line to check out with some 2 cycle engine oil. Getting my mowers ready for spring. I was overhearing a conversation between an employee and customer. The customers ABS light was on and was getting a check engine code about a bad speed sensor. The employee told the customer it has to do with the speed sensors batteries going bad and needed to be replaced. I had to interrupt and tell the customer the info he just received was incorrect and that his speed sensors do not have batteries. I think the employee was thinking about the tire pressure sensors lol.. I do my best not to visit auto part stores since usually I end up helping customers and correcting employees on the bad info they give! Plus 99% of the time I can find the parts and tools cheaper online!"
"Staff is very helpful and apologetic when they didn’t have what I was looking for and even helped search the area for the part."
"My friend went there last weekend so I am writing this review for her because she won't. She was getting a battery for a Toyota Camry. The employee refused to put it in so she had to take it somewhere else to put it in. She then realized they sold her the wrong battery so she had to drive back to Brent to get the right battery. The employee argued with her that he did not give her the right battery. She had him come look at the battery in her car so he could note that he DID sell her the wrong battery. He again refused to put the battery in the car so she had to leave her car running to get somewhere else where they would install the battery. She went back to get her money on the old battery and they said that they had already given that back to her. She watched her bank account and it never appeared back into her account so she called them and they then told her the money went toward the new battery and the difference just so happen to be the exact amount as the battery refund. So, don't go there. They have NO CLUE what they are doing."
"I've been here several times and find the parts are good quality at a competitive price. The fact I've got the right part on the first visit is great since I live several miles out of town. My oldest vehicle is a '86 Toyota pickup and found they had what I needed in stock on more than one occasion. They can't stock everything, but they can usually get an out of stock item the next day. Lots of tools and accessories too. I like this store."
