"Nice hike with great views of the lake. Was very quiet when we were there."
"A great place to mark off your list of Michigan locations. At the very tip of the Leelanau Pennisula it's special for that reason alone and it's historic Lighthouse is beautiful and worth a visit in its own right. However, this is the limit to its valuable offerings the hiking is limited and relatively unremarkable given all the amazing trails in the vicinity. Spent a night at the campsites, that were very close to the water but only offered rock beaches and were almost comically packed together. I set up camp after nightfall and when I woke the next morning I was surprised to learn I was within 20 ft of no less than 6 other sites! There really isn't much to do other than the Lighthouse since the beaches aren't good so although I don't want to dissuade anyone from visiting because it's worth a visit, don't plan to stay for more than a day or 2 or plan to leave the park to do other things instead."
"This is some fantastic, secluded hiking! We enjoyed going up to the scenic overlook. It looked like others had enjoyed being at the beach."
"The hiking area at Leelanau State Park is a great spot for year ‘round hiking, with winter snowshoeing, cross country skiing and even a fat tire route when the conditions are favorable (there are specific fat tire rules for access times to the trail). The trail system consists of a series of loops as well as an overlook spur and beach access. The roughly 8 miles of trails are nicely constructed, have easy grades and are well signed."
