Reviews of Catch a Taste East
"Looking for something new and different in Tuscalossa. Found this nice place in Alberta and was hooked. Great food, excellent atmosphere! Drinks were on point! Will definitely be back again!"
"The owner did open the door me. However the staff wasn’t a great deal of friendly. As I sat at the bar the staff didn’t ask how my meal was as I was eating. The drink was decent, I liked that they offered happy hour drinks at the bar. The wings were super small and not traditional size. I feel like they should let people know that, because I was expecting a normal size wing for the money I paid. The atmosphere was not super friendly. When I go somewhere and spend my money I expect high quality customer service not average. I believe this establishment needs to cater to all of its customers and not just engage with the ones that are regulars or that they know. Im not sure if it’s worth me coming again. However I did come as a new guest and experience this restaurant. This is my perspective as I have 5+ years customer service and direct service experience. Room for improvement."
"Incredibly delicious!!! These have to be some of the best wings in T-town. A bit pricey, but they are super fresh and have an amazing variety of flavors! We got the Mild and the Passion Punch, and they were so delicious, I couldn’t snap a picture before they were all gone. Service was mid, and the order announcer was occasionally very very loud over the speaker, but it didn’t matter a bit because the food was so incredibly good!"
"Update! Basically the same experience. The food was different, but I had the same opinion. It is good, but the price is high for what it is. I tried the passion wings, and catch fries, both were good. Pretty sure everything they sell is good. The service was on the slow side, but the food was fresh and hot. Overall it was a pleasant experience, just a little on the high side in my opinion. Also the sausage was perfectly cooked. Original: Food was good, but our polish sausage was a little over cooked. The ground beef and sauce were excellent, the bread fresh. The fries were nothing special, just typical frozen mass market crinkle cut fries. The drink selection was not good, but my wife enjoyed the exotic punch drink. You place your order next to the kitchen that is very loud so it is difficult to understand things. The polish sausage was very good though overall, if it was cheaper I would have given the restaurant 5 stars. $12 for some Hawaiian Punch, a serving of fries, and polish sausage is a lot, unless it is perfect. The staff was nice and the restaurant clean. My wife had the honey BBQ wings and they were pretty good as well. Just a polish sausage is $10 so it is a bit much."
