Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

"Table 203, 16:39 1/24/24 It started out good, The hostess seated us immediately and she was very friendly and told us Dede would be our server. We looked over the menu and decided what to order. We waited and started to wonder if anyone was assigned to the section. We were the only ones in the section. Finally Dede came out to take our drink order, but as long as we had waited we were ready to order. After ordering she came back with drinks, then left. It was a while before she brought out the salad with no bread. She brought bread, we ate salad and bread. When our order came out I ask for more bread, she took our basket and said she'd be right back with some. We ate our food and finished after about 20 minutes, still no bread and never seen Dede. She walked by after we were finished with a cheese grater and my wife flagged her down for a go plate. I ask her about the bread she was going to bring right back and she said the bread people in the back didn't make any and she'd go check. I told her I'm through eating now. She brought back a go plate for my wife and bread in a sack to go. Food was mediocre at best, but it's Olive Garden so you can't expect much. But I do expect good service. I don't know if Dede had to many tables or what, if she did that is on management."

My wife decided to have my birthday dinner at Olive Garden in Gardendale. The staff was truly helpful and patient with everyone. Our experience was enhanced, thanks to the friendliness of the staff. "Review for takeout: order online - very simple and easy. Selected 7PM for pickup, showed up and entered my parking spot - had my food in 30 seconds. Food tasted great and was nice and hot still when I got home. Definitely would recommend their takeout system!"

"I have been a fan of this restaurant for as long as I remember. So, craving Italian food, I headed to Olive Garden Saturday night. Though there was a wait, it was not long before my friend and I were seated and our orders taken. We ordered the Tour of Italy and Shrimp and Chicken Carbonara. Both entrees were delicious, as was the soup, salad, and bread sticks that are always fresh and delicious. Our waitress was very attentive and very likeable. Long live The Olive Garden!"
