"I'm giving H&R Block in Royal Oak a 4-star review because of the exceptional service I received from Lourdes. She was incredibly friendly and professional, making the process of filing my taxes smooth and easy. However, I did find the open layout of the cubicles to be a bit distracting, as the noise from neighboring conversations carried over. Despite this, Lourdes' expertise and professionalism made the experience positive. I Recommend it!"

"Taxes were done relatively quickly but my husband and I were shocked that the prices went up to over $355 PER PERSON. We were not told until everything was done. We will not be using H&R block again."

"I would never waste my money here again. I never at any point knew what the service was going to cost until I was charged. I had no problem paying the $250 if they did everything correctly. I submitted my paperwork online on April 9th. They waited until the day they were due to have me sign my documents. My taxes were turned in late due to their error. My tax preparer called me twice after the due date to ask me my IRS pin. Not sure why they didn't get all the info they needed from me before the taxes were due. Tax preparer was unorganized. There's honestly just too much to go into detail about. My taxes were easy, and I usually do them myself. This year I made the mistake of letting the "professionals" handle it, and it didn't make my life any easier. For the amount of time these people wasted, I could have just done them myself without turning them in late."

"DON’T DO IT. If I could give my experience 0 stars I would. I dropped my tax documents off to Caroline back in March and after two weeks of not hearing anything, I called back and struggled to reach her- totaling around 4 times that week. She finally returned my call at almost 9 pm, and she was confusing me with another client as she thought we had spoken already. She then, asked for my details (she still had all of my documents and all information asked for, that I filled out when I dropped off) During this conversation with her, I mentioned that if she needed someone else to do my taxes that would be perfectly fine, but she said that she would have them for me by that Saturday/ Sunday. Sunday rolled around, no communication- totaling 3 weeks. I called on my way into work, left a message, no call back. I called on my way home, and asked the woman at the desk to have my documents ready for pick up regardless of completion. It was then that a different woman offered a different tax professional to complete, which I politely declined. This was an incredible waste of time. I would not recommend this person, this office or this company. Do yourself a favor and skip this entirely. I found a local woman to do my taxes and the experience has been night and day."

"I would give a 10 if possible. My tax preparer went above and beyond in so many ways. She was incredibly kind, personable, answered every question I had, and I left feeling extremely confident about my taxes. As someone who works in customer service as well I believe She should be recognized (plus a raise!) for her absolutely outstanding customer service, kindness, and diligence. We also scheduled an appointment for next year so I will definitely be back!"
