Reviews
"DO NOT FOLLOW GOOGLE MAPS!!!! the road is closed to get here. Go in the main entrance of the park. The south entrance is closed. This campground is beautiful. We came here in February so we don't know what it is like in the busy season. We have the whole campground to ourselves. Walking down to frozen lake Michigan is amazing and the sunsets are crazy cool."
"You can find my review for the ghost town as well. Clean park and quiet. The bathrooms were clean as well."
"Nice campground and the historic village offers a lot of history. The building are well maintained with nice displays. It gives you a glance into what life was like shipping the iron and lumber out on the lake in the U. P."
"AWESOME camp ground!! Pretty quiet, and small. We did the trail the the old historic town! It's a must see. Definitely have to go down to the beach at night and see all the shooting stars and milky way! We arrived late, 9:30pm, but had called ahead to let them know. The office was more than accomodating! It was a breeze to get to our camp site!! There are 4 showers, which have a shower and toilet (lockable, single, family restroom). Since it's a small camp ground and most people have an RV, I never had a wait for the shower or restroom. Awesome little campground!!"
"What a great experience. Site 53 was awesome. Outside of loop 3. Lots of room for our pop up, hammocks, etc.... With an easy walk to the water for sun sets. The historic town was so much fun that even my 6 year old wanted to go on the tour again. Lots of restored buildings. Trails were great for hiking and biking. We rented kayaks and paddled over to the limestone cliffs. Super clean bath rooms that were cleaned daily.....The only cons...... if you forget something you are a very long way (approximately 8 miles) from any place to find it and if you have Verizon cell..... No service."
