Reviews of Cave Point - Clay Banks State Natural Area
"This was an awesome spot. The dogs and I walked about a mile looking at the bluffs. It's in-between a state park, so we didn't venture into those boundaries. Little icy at the time, but that's expected in the winter."
"This is a nice place to check out the waves hitting the Rocky shore or to have a picnic or small party. There is a trail or two as well to follow to check out some of the beautiful shore line. There is also lots of room for parking and they don't charge at this park which is always a plus"
"We got up extra early to catch the sunrise and it was worth every minute! Sitting there watching it slowly rise along the horizon was amazing. Sitting on the rocks feeling the waves crash along the rocks is so relaxing. The best things in life can be the most simplest."
"My family has been here before on a kayak tour and jumped off the cliff into the water. Today we couldn't because of very intense waves. It's still a beautiful place to visit and when the waters are calmer, very fun to swim."
"Amazing place to visit, and it's free! A must stop if you are visiting Door County. Beautiful views of the water and the rock outcroppings. There is an area where people used to jump off into the water, but no one was doing that this last time I was there. The water was crystal clear when we visited there, and it made us want to rent a kayak and go exploring, but sadly we didn't have time to kayak. There are trails in different areas of the park, along w picnic tables and grills to stop and enjoy some lunch. There are bathrooms available and its pet friendly w clean up stations w bags to clean up after your pets. Make sure to walk the trail along the water, and you will find places to get down to the water. Just be careful tho, the rocks along and under water are very slippery. Take a moment to stop and visit, you won't be disappointed."
