Reviews of Publix Super Market at Northwood Crossings
"Review is mainly due to a manager working in the deli. For those that don't know, the Bore'sHead deli meats are not like the pre-packaged items on the shelves/pegs. They aren't full of preservatives, so they only last about 5 days from when the package is opened. Hence, they put a sticker on the package when they open it, cut from it, and then put it back in the display. So, when you ask when it was opened, and it was 6 days ago, they should have no problem opening a new pack of meat. The manager at this deli, did. And, he even went so far as to attempt to belittle my wife when she tried to explain it to him. She stood her ground, though, and the deli manager eventually opened a new package. We've been to a half-dozen different Publix over the past 15 years, and this was a first for us. Hopefully, the gentleman was just having an off day, but being management, he's setting the example for the college students they hire, and toxic leadership in a grocery store is probably the last thing anyone needs. The overall prices in the store aren't good, either, but if you think of the upcharge as a convenience fee, it's easier to accept."
"Clean, up-scale'ish. Bored, disinterested employees. If you can bump them out of the reverie, employees will be helpful. Good produce, great selection of coffee, clean restrooms!"
"I recently visited the Publix at Northwood Crossings on a Sunday morning, expecting the usual high standards of service and quality that I've come to associate with the Publix brand. Unfortunately, my experience on this particular day fell far short of expectations. My primary purpose for the visit was to purchase a couple of Rotisserie Chickens along with a few other items. However, upon entering the store, I was dismayed to find no Rotisserie Chickens on display. Hoping to find assistance, I approached a group of staff members who were gathered together, seemingly more engrossed in socializing and laughter than attending to customer needs. When I inquired about the availability of Rotisserie Chickens, their response was both unprofessional and disappointing. The staff, rather than addressing my query seriously, responded with laughter and a dismissive "no." This lack of courtesy and customer focus left me disheartened. Feeling frustrated and unappreciated as a customer, I made the decision to return my shopping cart and promptly left the store. Determined to fulfill my grocery needs, I drove a short distance to the Publix at Bristol Park. I was relieved to find that the experience at Bristol Park was a complete contrast to the one at Northwood Crossings. The staff at Bristol Park were not only friendly but also displayed a higher level of professionalism and customer service. They promptly assisted me in finding the Chickens and other items I needed, turning my shopping experience into a positive one. The stark difference in service between the two locations has left me contemplating whether I will return to the Northwood Crossings Publix in the future. Such behavior from the staff at Northwood Crossings is not only below expectations but is also contrary to the standard of service that Publix is known for. I sincerely hope that this review serves as constructive feedback for the management at Northwood Crossings. Improvements in staff behavior and customer service are essential to maintaining the reputation that Publix has worked hard to establish."
"I was driving through and came in looking for some soup for my daughter. Their hot soup was already put away, so I asked if they could warm it in their microwave. Unfortunately, they couldn't, and I was still a ways away from home. I ended up purchasing a soup and took it down the road to Circle K, and I warmed it up there. My daughter was happy to have the warm soup help with her sore throat."
"I just would like to see more friendliness at this store.. it's like they've lost that p u b l i x Style. Seems like most folks were there just for a job. It's not like when it first opened and everybody had been trained properly. Just my observation. Maybe they will prove me wrong the next time I go in there. Of course the inflation was showing its ugly head. Prices have gone up tremendously. But the overall cleanliness of the store needs a little touch and the attitude of the employees."
