Reviews of Rent-A-Center
"I love this store from the Manager (Dee) to the young lady (Ms. S) to the delivery drivers. They are helpful, respectful, and very pleasant. Every experience has been top notch. Thank you so much for everything."
"Good people they treat you like your family even if you aren’t getting anything an just looking around an very knowledgeable of everything in there store"
"I’m actually bothered I even had to leave one star in order to share my experience with this place. As someone with an extensive background in customer service, a job is a choice. You do not choose the option of dealing with the general public if you just simply cannot do so. It’s gross and awkward. Upon hire you commit to the description that earns your check. This place clearly lacks commitment within the hiring process because management is nothing short of a deceptive, unprofessional, harassment of a joke. Fortunately i only fostered a couch belonging to them for about a month. Before we ever adopted it, everything was false. The price was always higher in store and over the phone. I declined two types of coverage during my registration and first payment online. Get paid for them when i went into the store to be “formally approved” and share documentation of proof. The daily persistence to near harassing sale calls to rent something prior to doing so is enough in it of it itself. So we caved. We agreed to rent the couch. My husband and I just moved from Mobile for our jobs- starting over with furniture after 10 years. The Manager Selena almost surprised me upon learning their title. Completely unprofessional from the start. Rude. Blatantly. I’m not even joking…. The hiring/promotion process should be highly reevaluated. There was misinterpretation regarding my biweekly pay schedule. I was not paid on the days logged on their end, therefore neither were my payments. I was under the impression this wasn’t of any issue on phone call 16/3,788 as I agreed to make my payment the following day in less than 24 hours. I was called as soon as their business hours began during my 2 hour drive to a work obligation. Attempted to make my payment and I was told I was outside of the pay period so I am in violation of my rental agreement and my payment would not be accepted, that someone needs to be at my home because they were coming to get their furniture. Yall never in my life have I ever been hassled by folks like that. I have a job. We have communicated. But come get this couch because this is a situation on my hands I did not sign up for. But I have plans just like that plan I thought was agreed upon with them. So you can come get it when I’m available The following day while Being away for the weekend my husband and I watched on security, someone from RAC show up to our home knocking on the doors. Attempting to turn the knob on our front door. What was the plan if it opened? It’s just weird. Upon arriving back to town, after the incessant phone calls during work and seeing them knocking again, the manager was notified to grab their things ASAP. The same guys who dropped it off showed up after their business hours. The same guys who broke a light fixture and damaged more than a few areas of paint on the walls then leaving the furniture for us to assemble. The nightmare is over now. But moral of it is, learn how to speak to and deal with others. Nobody is lesser than. Because one thing I know and two things for sure is nobody needs to speak with disrespect. Customer service requires customer service. Don’t rent furniture."
"We purchased a 58inch Samsung Crystal 4K TV that went out before it was even paid off. We were then told it was a manufacturing defect. They replaced it with 55inch Insignia. This TV is about $100 cheaper than what we originally got. It’s very frustrating. The Tv lacks most functions that a higher quality Samsung would usually have. This TV is clearly of lower quality and function. We were told that it was of higher quality when it was not. They claim the smaller TV with fewer features that, which is clearly an older model, is valued for more within their company. I guess if value means it’s what they had in store today. And value to a consumer is not the same as the metrics used by Rentacenter, clearly. This will only be considered resolved when we get what we paid for. Mid conversation my husband repeatedly asked for the District Manager’s name only to be ignored and shouted over by the store manager. Then he was critiqued and criticized for mentioning the writing of this review. The store manager repeatedly said that he has always had our backs when it comes to their defective products, which my husband acknowledged that the manager was honoring Rentacenters warranty policy. Good for him.The conversation ended by my husband having enough and wishing the manager a good day before hanging up. Skip this store"
"I would honestly give this 0 stars if I could! Very rude! the guys the delivered my refrigerator didn’t even say a word just dropped it off in the middle of the floor walked out the house and drove off. Then i was told my payment would be $80 every two weeks when I got the first payment it was $107 every two weeks I called and she acted like I was crazy that she never said $80. I know what she said. THEN because of that pay increase I was needing to make a payment arrangement. I had the date that I could pay it it full and I was told they do not accept late payments! like What? This is absolutely insane! Not To mention they were charging me $5,500 for a $2000 refrigerator! I told them to come get the thing!"
