"My problem has been with getting wood that I purchased there cut. The employees simply will not follow instructions and they do not understand about curf. I measure and mark the cuts myself and they just can't hit the marks. Also, at the Tuscaloosa store, the saw does not cut square. It's been that way for years and they just don't care. They even tell you not to expect accurate or straight cuts. That's their disclaimer when they ruin an exspensive piece of plywood."

"I spend way more time here than I would like to admit. Staff is always friendly. And for the items I look for, the prices are good. I've only had one negative experience here in the 20+ visits I've made. A male associate did try to talk down to me about a remodel project i was working on as a woman but I'm used to that. That was the associates fault, not the store."

"We were working on refinishing some kitchen and bathroom cabinets in other-in-law’s house in order to ready it for sale. It got to the point that I needed some wood stain which matched the color of the cabinets. I took a few pictures of the cabinet color with my wife’s phone and asked her to go to Home Depot to try to buy a stain to match the color. My wife came back with a stain that matched nicely. She said that the lady in the paint department was very nice and worked with her to find the just the right color."

"The place is a mess. They regularly appear understaffed, and good luck finding anyone that can help you find something. If you have a project and your only choice is this Home Depot for getting what you need, pack a lunch. You'll be there a while."
