"We've camped in the Northern Highland American Legion forest campground for years, and Starette is definitely our favorite. Be aware thought that it is a designated quiet campground, so you can't use generators, and there is no electric or water hookups, so it may not be suitable for some campers"

"Labor Day weekend and still so very quiet. Campground was 3/4 full but campers are respectful of the rules and each other. Lake is electric motors and self propelled crafter only. It is a DNR designated "quiet" rustic campground so no generators, if people have radios they can't be heard by others, and the partiers self select away from here. To us this is Camping with a capital C. We will be back."
