Waffle House

"Well we pulled in for a late night meal after driving 8 hours so we were all hungry. Selection of food was what you would expect and my steak was pretty good but not great. Had a cockroach visit my wife and girls on the bar top so that pretty much ended their desire to finish their meal. After living in Mexico for a year it didn't phase us much but it still doesn't sit well."

"Food was okay, Woman never came and checked on us after food was delivered to table, so i sat with no drink for basically entire meal. Receipts are also not very descriptive, as I noticed a charge on the customer facing display called "Tip IN - $5.00" and when I checked the receipt there was one total charge amount for $44 (for three people) for one line item called "Dinner". Also I had to request a receipt, she quickly took the original from sight. Very suspicious, and I will personally never be back. Also feel to note it was after 11PM at night so experience might vary during the daytime."

"So it's been 20ish years since I've eaten in a Waffle House. First time was like most, a lot of grease. This time was excellent. No sticky ketchup bottles and no overly greasy food. The hash browns are the thing to go to so I had a hash brown bowl but switched out for cheese steak on it with the chili and jalapenos mushrooms and onions. It was delicious! Best part was this duo on the grill and on the serving side. If you're in town and eat at this waffle House and these two are in the place, you're in for a treat!"

"When the server brought our silverware my fork had a crumb between the tines...that should have been my first sign of what I was getting into!! I ordered a biscuit and gravy, when the server brought it out and set it on the table, she said the gravy is a little runny. Ha that was an understatement it was like white water with little bitty pieces of sausage!! My pecan waffle, bacon and hash browns were great. The ketchup bottle and salt shaker were so sticky we had to wrap a napkin around them to use them. She never came back to our table, my daughter had to get up and ask for to go trays and when she brought them I told her I couldn't eat the biscuit and gravy so they took it off my check. I've been eating here for years but I'm pretty sure we'll never go back!!!!!!!!"

"We're heading up from Alabama to St Louis and going through Mississippi stopped here and glad we did because we've always wanted to try a waffle house and this was the last one between Mississippi that was on route from Alabama to St Louis. Nice spot good people they had an old time jukebox that needed a quarter we didn't have one and one of the servers gave us a quarter that's pretty cool. We had breakfast meals. there were four of us. I had biscuits and grits with sunny side up egg and it was tasty. Got some hot sauce on there made it even better."
