"I have mixed feelings about this place. First off its one of the few places that will repair components. While the guy may be an electronics whiz... I always have trouble communicating with him. Like he can't understand me because I dont use technical lingo???? Its weird. I'm going to find an alternative repair spot next time. Plus the limited hours make drop-off and pick up a hassle. Also, a paint job and some broom-time wouldn't hurt the cave-like space."
"If you need anything repaired THIS IS THE PLACE!! Paul is hands down the most professional and talent repair technician I have ever met. He has fixed a few recievers and a set of speakers for me, and I have been blown away by the quality of work he does. His rates are exceptionally reasonable, his knowledge of technology and equipment far surpass anything you could find online, and he is a great guy to chat with about great music."
"My first repair and experience was 5 + stars. 2nd experience not so much. I had called and ASKED how long the warranty is good for on my turntable repair as it had been in service less than one year ago. I wasn't sure if a second bench fee would be required or not. Paul, the owner/repair technician told me over the phone that he would wave the $40. My M-I-L brought the unit in with my provided noted and was charged the bench fee. Went I went to pick up the unit Paul, owner/repair technician, said he would send a check. I shared that I was looking forward to bringing more work his way and I appreciated his work very much. A considerable amount of time has gone by and no check. I called and he says that he is going to go back on his word on the refund. He felt manipulated and won't refund me. I prob would not have known unless I called. The $40 is not wasted because I gained a lot of knowledge. The one star is for bad business practice. I can't support a busoness who won't stand by what was told to the customer. I even wrote a positive review after my first service interaction. This location has just lost my business and I'm very disappointed."
"I have a Technics receiver that I bought new in 1977 that suddenly died. I couldn't part with it, so I brought it in for repairs. They gave me an estimate and timeframe. It did take a long time to get parts (covid related), but I couldn't be happier. Brought my turntable in too for new cables and cleaning. Paul is super nice guy and highly recommend!"
"Based on the number of 5 star reviews I felt confident that taking my Pioneer receiver to Morrell Electronic Service it would be fixed. After a several months and many, many follow up phone call to check the status I am at a loss. Each time I called the women I spoke to assured me that it would be repaired soon. I finally stopped calling and never did hear back. So I am out $40 upfront cost plus the receiver. Can not recommend"
