"STAY FAR AWAY! THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. THEY WILL TRY TO INTIMIDATE AND BULLY YOU ON PRICE, AND THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY VINDICTIVE IF THEY DON’T GET THEIR WAY. Let me start by saying I have never left a negative review before. This is not something I enjoy doing, but I feel like the information should be out there for people to see. I called Greg to fix a known gas leak in a vacant house we have. He was polite and said his dad, Steven, would stop out and look at the job that evening since Steven lives a few houses down. I text Greg exactly how to use the key box on the door and asked Greg to forward that text to his dad so he could get access and then lock up afterward. Steven arrived around 4pm that evening. I explained what DTE, who was there that morning to find the leak and shut the gas off, had told me. About 10 foot of gas pipe, with its joints and T’s, needed to be re-doped. Steven said he could dope the pipe as needed and it would just be time and labor. Everything was fine until I asked about price. His tone immediately changed from polite to combative. He quoted me a price that seemed EXTREMELY high for an hour or two’s worth of work and no parts. When I told him that seemed a bit high, he hung up on me. I called him back, thinking we may had been disconnected. He answered and was still unbelievable argumentative. He said that he could either go down the street to his house, get the tools to do it for the price, or I can find someone else to do it (That is me phrasing it politely). The change in his demeanor along with the overall price persuaded me to seek other estimates. When I told him I would think about it and get back to him tomorrow with a decision, he muttered something negative and instantly hung up the phone once again. Because of the interaction, I was afraid Steven would leave with the key and not lock up the property. Immediately, I tried calling Greg and Steven back. Neither one of them would answer my phone calls or texts until a half hour later when Greg picked up. Greg, who was polite earlier, was now as rude and short as his father. I asked if his dad was able to lock up and put the key in the box. Greg said he gave his dad the information that I text him earlier, but never committed to saying his dad locked up and put the key in the box until I kept pressing for a specific yes or no answer. The next morning, I stopped out to view the property and found that Steven had left both the porch door and the house door as open as possible. He left the key in the doorknob and the key box was hanging open. This wasn’t by accident this was on purpose. Mind you, this happened in the winter with temperatures below freezing and the gas to our vacant property turned off, which they knew. I truly believe Steven was vindictive and hoping something would happen to the property because I didn’t use their business immediately and without question. I would never recommend these guys to anyone. STAY FAR AWAY! THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. THEY WILL TRY TO INTIMIDATE AND BULLY YOU ON PRICE, AND THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY VINDICTIVE IF THEY DON’T GET THEIR WAY. Oh by the way, later that day I found another company that was able to do the job for a quarter of the price that was quoted by Steven."
"I called Cedar Springs heating and cooling to fix my furnace as the heat was not working. He said he would show up between 8:30 and 10. Showed up late. He then went to look at my furnace. He spent little time looking at it and said he saw what he needed to see. Told me that he would call and check on the part I need and get back to me by the end of the day. That was a week ago and still have not heard from him. Called a different company I used before. More expensive but do good work and very professional. I guess trying to support a local business didn't pay off this time. Will not use again! Very dissatisfied customer! Terrible customer service!"
