"Do not use this company was promised lean to house would be removed if I paid just under 11k to them out of my own pocket after they took 2 years and 200k+ worth of insurance money, so i wrote check month later and lean still not removed DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY YOU WILL REGREAT IT......."
"2 years plus later belfore still has not completed the job and they're not removing the lean on the house. They are now saying we need to pay them $13000 when they did not complete the job they submitted to the insurance company. They submitted a claim to the insurance company for siding that we paid for and had to hire somebody else to hang the siding. They didn't finish soffit along with lots of other items they submitted to insurance saying that they completed it. The house did not get cleaned up it was a mess and we're still fighting with them. To cover up walls because they are not correct, they used texture spray and it's everywhere!!!! They received over $150,000.00 and didn't complete the job. DON'T HIRE..RUN AWAY."
"I would not recommend this company for restoration work. It took them over 7 months to replace one wall of kitchen cabinets, an island and flooring. The project manager couldn't remember what he was told. They went a month without doing anything or communicating with us. The person who put the cabinets in broke the lazy susan and didn't bother to tell anyone. He did a nice job on the backsplash, however, it hasn't even been 4 months and the caulk is falling out from between the wall and counter top above the sink, so any water that splashes behind the sink runs through the gap. Their man would show up to work and only work for an hour or less and then leave and never tell you he was leaving and the work was not completed. The last day he worked he had some touch up painting to do and got paint splatters on the brand new floor. The spatters don't come off and look like dust on the floor. They tried to remove them with Goo Gone but they are still there and I do NOT want these people back in my house. And they still didn't touch up all of the paint they were there to fix. The flooring guy was great and did a fantastic job. The project manager had to buy moldings to match what we had; we told them that they were bought at Lowes and he went and bought them elsewhere and of course they didn't match. When, we told them they didn't match, it took them 2 weeks to come back."
"I had tree fall on my house. My insurance partnered with belfor to make the needed repairs. Belfor got involved around 11/7/22. Belfor was responsible for repairing the roof, gutters, and chainlink fence. They repaired the roof after showing up with no warning or notice. (I literally found out they were at my house while i was at work and my camera system went off. They left my property an absolute mess. From plastic wrapping, cigarettes, to nails. I found over 150 nails between my grass and driveway. I was even late to work one day because a nail got in my tire. I asked on 11/30/22 for them to come out and do a sweep. On 12/11/22 my dog stepped on a nail in my yard while playing.Belfor was fired from this job with only making repairs to the roof. As I write this today, they have never come back out to do a sweep for nails. Stay away from this company."
"We had a house fire 12/2017. Belfor sent out subcontractor right away. This is where the positives end. Unfortunately, they did improper work, took unsafe shortcuts and Belfor ended up firing them and promised to finish the work promptly and properly. It took them several months to fire subcontractor and own their responsibility. Belfor continually missed appointments, would install things improperly, used improper color paint to finish paint work, did drywall incorrectly, would show for some appts for a couple of hours say they were returning and never return. Our cabinets still have not been installed. They have brought them out 3 different times sized incorrectly in the last 9 months alone. Numerous other issues. Not installing electrical outlets according to current codes. Had someone install wallpaper who had never done it. Wallpaper falling off walls and not to edges of casings. Belfor said they would fix right away. Last promise to fix was Dec 2018. Apologetic, yet no follow through. It is now Feb 2019 and they have made no attempts to set up any appointments to fix their mistakes or finish job. Even insurance company is not getting responses from them. Belfor trying to blame insurance company. Insurance company said they have been unable to get Belfor to respond or schedule anything. Belfor fraudulently accepted contract and paid for it by insurance for work they were unable to professionally provide workers for. When we pointed out mistakes, improper electrical, improper wallpapering with pictures, emails, voicemails, etc we were constantly assured it would be fixed, and eventually ignored completely. Now Belfor wants to cash us out for less than $800 for a contract they have not completed and received over $10,000.00 for. Just to get the wallpaper redone would cost over $4,000.00 alone. That doesn't count the electrical, heater covers they took and have not replaced, cabinets they say they have and are built correctly yet not installed, and they have all our extra paint that has not been give to us yet. We are still waiting for an amicable resolution and Belfor to finish the work. Belfor told us that the subcontractor they fired hurt them with more than 10 other properties......they were taking a loss correcting all their mistakes. That is not the fault of the Homeowner and we should not be bullied to settle for work not getting done. We should not be bullied for telling the truth and reporting poor workmanship. Belfor should not be paid for work that has not been completed. Any repairs are on Belfor. It is the job of the Insurance company to hold them accountable. It has been 14 months for a 4 month job and it is still not completed. Anyone else with same problems encouraged to comment on this review."
