"Really happy with the service I received from Big Lake Appliance Service. They were prompt with good communicating, clear pricing, and friendly. I have been dissatisfied with some other appliance repair places in the area and am very happy I decided to give Big Late a try. Will certainly use them in the future and I suggest you give them a try. It also doesn't hurt that they were able to resolve my issue on their first visit!"
"Trusted 5 Star service. This is the second time I have called Big Lake Appliance out... both times for different refrigerator issues at Saugatuck Cottage Suites. Big Lake Appliance was quick to respond and easy to reach on the phone. They scheduled my repair promptly and fixed my fridge is short order. I would highly recommend them and I will use Big Lakes again when another appliance repair is needed."
"I've had a Viking gas range that has been finicky for about ten years; sometimes it would just decide that the electric spark wouldn't work and would take anywhere from a day to three weeks to "reset itself." This last time was three weeks and I decided that I should see if I could get it repaired. It took Bo all of five minutes to diagnose the issue - the power cord - and another five to fix it. Everything about my experience was terrific. Easy to get an appointment, very professional service, great value for the service provided. Highly recommended!"
"Our experience still leaves us puzzled. While responsive and on time to fix a broken DW rack, the repair team suddenly refused to do anything due to “inability to avoid future liability if the appliance ever leaked”. What? It is secured to the cabinets on either side for a reason! Oh, well. We were able to remove and replace the failing racks ourselves. Sorry, but not a good experience. After reading the response from Big Lake Appliance Repair, I add the following: The original repair was to replace the top rack slide on the right side of the dish washer. After buying the correct part from the OEM supplier and watching a you tube video of the replacement, I thought that removing the washer from under the counter and un-bolting the slide from the outside of the dishwasher, I thought that the repair might be beyond me, so I called Big Lake for help, thinking that they had the expertise that I lacked. The part was about $50, and the repair trip was $125 plus parts (supplied by me, but the mark-up wouldn’t have been too much) plus the time to effect the repair. I thought this is less than replacing a perfectly good stainless steel kitchen aid dishwasher. When the repair men from Big Lake arrived, they seemed unhappy to discover that I had indeed purchased the correct part, but they un screwed the dishwasher from the cabinet sides (where the manufacturer had provided pre-drilled mounting holes, sealed with a rubber cap. These mounting holes are outside the sealing gasket and are not exposed to water during a cleaning cycle.), and slid it out into the room. At this point, they told me that they wouldn’t complete the repair and went to slide the dishwasher back into place. I told them not to bother, and they left. Unlike as in their response, the dishwasher tub is not plastic, but is stainless steel, Neither I nor the original dishwasher installer had drilled, punched, or caused the mounting holes in the flange of the dishwasher to come into being, but did use the holes provided for this purpose by the manufacturer. As for the clips that were not used (as described in the response), they are not used to mount a dishwasher to a quartz or granite counter top. While their repair to our dryer was indeed very good, this service call for our dishwasher was not at all satisfactory"
"Fridge needed work. They were able to schedule an appointment for the next business day (over a weekend). Tech was timely. Seamless use of technology and good response time / follow-up from first call to end of service and payment. The tech helped us decide we needed a new fridge and his repair wouldn't be worth it. I really appreciate that. Since they don't sell appliances, it was an unbiased opinion. A little more expensive than some, BUT worth it for the timeliness and professional approach."
