"They are an amazing florist and garden center! I went in a couple months ago and bought some plants from them and the girl who works the front desk was extremely helpful and really sweet. She was the only one working in the store at the time and when I inquired as to why there is only one person working, she explained that it was a family business and the entire family works there. She was just the only one in the shop at the time, because the whole family was out doing things for the business. Such a wonderful thing! A family business sticking to its roots! I then recently ordered flowers on their website for my moms birthday, although unfortunately they weren’t able to fulfill my order. I received an email almost immediately, and I called to ask if I was able to get a refund or what the plan was with it. The lady who answered explained to me that they outsource their website to a secondary company who runs it, so they don’t receive my money right away or have any way of refunding it. Only the company who does their website has that authority, I think it’s called Flower Shop Network. She gave me a number to contact them to inquire on my refund and offered to still make an arrangement for me with the flowers they had in stock. The arrangement that was delivered for my mom was more beautiful than what was on the website!! I highly recommend them as not only a florist, but a wonderful family-run garden center!"

"Make sure to use the area of a cone formula to measure your pile! I ordered 7 yards last week. The next day what appeared visually to be a pile no larger than the 4 yards I ordered 2 years ago arrived. We measured it and discovered it was not even quite 4 yards! I had to call 3 times over the following 3 days and finally had to get my husband involved to make a call before another "3" yards was brought. Again we measured the pile and found it to barely be 2 yards. In total we got close to 6 of the 7 yards we ordered and gave up arguing with them. Will not be ordering again."

"I ordered leaf compost and due to supply issue, H & S had to use a different contractor. As soon as they knew there was an issue, he and his son came out, took away the unsatisfactory product and replaced it. And this was on a SUNDAY! Excellent customer service."

"Just be careful. I paid alot of money for a small pile of topsoil. About 2 yards. I asked for 5 yards. I have been getting compost from few companies and this is by far the smallest pile ever in 13 years.. So sad to see this company taking advantage of us. I was recommended by this company through a wonderful customer of ours. Would apprecicate it to get full 5 yards."
