"Called this company to come and repair my gas fireplace. The tech that came out was 2.5hrs late, which I had grace for because of car troubles. He inspected the fireplace came to the conclusion that it needed a new part. The tech then asked if I had 20 dollars cash because he had spent his expense money on fixing his car that morning. I was taken a back and confused whether he was asking for money to get into town to buy the part of for gas? He then said that I was welcome to come along with him into to town to get the part. At this point I was very uncomfortable with the dialogue. I have never been asked by any technician in my life if I wanted to go into town with them to buy a part. It’s completely inappropriate business behavior regardless if he just wanted me to come so I could use my card to pay for the part. The tech went into town got a part replaced it and started the fireplace. The same day after he left the fireplace would not turn on. I called the owner of the company and asked for a refund or that he send a new tech or himself to come and fix it and he refused. I understand that I don’t know this tech personally, but I was not comfortable having him come back out to my house with the previous days interaction. All the owner could offer me was sending the same tech back out. Very disappointed with the outcome as i was left with no options than to be in an uncomfortable situation again and also out $325 with a none working fireplace. I would not recommend this company."
