"On the corner. Nice clean. Attendant on duty. Change machine. Majority of machines working. Nice area to wander while waiting."
"Worker was very helpful and attentive. She showed me the best machine to use for my size load and helped me with soap. Summer hours are over and they now have Fall hours posted. Closed Labor day."
"Nice small, clean laundry mat. The larger washers where not available for public use. The regular sized washers were $4.00 a load and dryers are $.25 for five minutes."
"Clean and quiet. Staff was friendly. Summer hours end at 7 pm so last load in at 6"
""Last load" time versus closing time mean different things, I guess. It's been a minute since I posted a terrible review but here we are. I had asked at our campsite about the hours, and was told that the laundromat closed at 7pm. Armed with that info after a long day on Mackinaw Island and the city, I went in with an urgent load. The sign on the door said clearly the summer hours of 9a-7p, and that the last load started at 6pm. I walked in at 6 pm on the wall clock and begged to do a single load of a sleeping bag for my son. He'd had an accident the night before and I couldn't get the smell completely out while scrubbing at our campsite. The staff member looked at me, looked at the clock, looked at me and said no laundry could be started. Myself and then my father explained the situation and begged for a favor for us because of our circumstances. I'm enormously sympathetic to the employees, and on paper "if I make one exception for you is have to make exceptions for everyone" is a fair rule to follow. The issue I take with the employee is how they smiled (smirked) and said that statement with the "I have this power and you don't" tone. Agree or disagree with the rule, the tone and treatment drives customers to share their experiences with the world as a warning. Beyond the employees, the laundromat looked well maintained with many clean machines and lots of options. I wish I had been allowed to avail myself of them. I'll be sharing the information with our campsite."
