Reviews of Historic Roscoe Village
"Roscoe Village is a beautiful little village right by Coshocton. It used to be right next to the Erie Canal, and it still resonates the charm of yesteryear. Its picturesque buildings feature the right amount of stores and eateries, with the Warehouse being a cozy place to have lunch or dinner in a beautiful setting. While I am still sad that the Roscoe Village Inn and its wonderful restaurant no longer exists (home of a college now), I am relieved that Roscoe seems to have sprung back to life. The higher end stores of the 90's are no longer there, but the new mix of handmade crafts and knickknacks seems to bring in customers nevertheless."
"Been coming here for many years. The music, shops, crafters, food and atmosphere so warm and inviting. Always will be a part of our family traditions and stopped at The Barn Restaurant in Smithville on the way back."
"We just returned from the "food truck" festival in Roscoe Village. Unfortunately there were so few food trucks we ended up eating in a restaurant instead. To say it was disappointing is an understatement. Luckily we had good weather and good company or all would have been lost."
"We enjoyed our short visit walking around the shops. We didn't but the tickets for the museum part of it so I can't comment on that. It was a nice place to visit for the afternoon. Love the different shops and the ambiance of the street. It was very peaceful and not a long distance to walk. I would suggest parking at the Welcome Center instead of on the street. Lots of information at the welcome center."
"Roscoe Village was not what I expected. It has beautiful preserved buildings, restaurants, shops and businesses. I guess that I thought that it was a replica of a canal era village with reenactments of that time period. They might do that but I didn't see it."
