"The Chapin and Gore building, by architects Richard Schmidt and Hugh Garden. Built in 1904. Wonderful example of Chicago School architecture. Now a part of Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Attractive, simply designed brick building. Minus some decorative terra cotta elements, removed in the '50's. I believe this building does not have the significant recognition that other more recognized buildings from that era have."
